Ziggy 11,867 Posted January 29, 2023 Share Posted January 29, 2023 Tbh the only hard one is Drunk in Love vs. Alien Superstar. Renaissance trumps most of self titled tbh and I love self titled a lot. There’s some exceptions (XO/Move, Rocket/PotS, for example) but on the whole renaissance takes it for clarity, I think drunk in love barely edges it out. It has every element of a Beyoncé song: huge vocals, sing-rapping, hot beat. Alien superstar is AMAZING but doesn’t have the huge vocals (though the vocals it has are incredible) that I really love in a Beyoncé song. Drunk in Love is the HIT single whereas as much as I love her ms alien superstar is the Scheiße of Renaissance. Incredible fan favorite that tbh if we’re REALLY being honest with ourselves works best in the album than outside it. Doesn’t make it lesser but in a song head to head?
