PUT UR FKN HANDS UP REPL- .... oh wait actually, no thanks :wtfga:

I'm sorry y'all, but A Stars is Born and House of Gucci are not the kind of movies I'd watch again.  They're long and hard to get through on the first watch tbh.

I want Gaga to be in something REPLAYable like Death Becomes Her, The Devil Wears Prada, Mean Girls, etc.  Basically a movie that brings joy!  But hell, even Silence of the Lambs has replay value imo and that is not a joyful movie.  Idk, I just feel like ASIB and HOG drag.  I wouldn't stream them in my living room, I've only watched them in the theatre when they were out.  And in 5-10 years from now, idk if I'd rewatch. idk maybe im speaking too soon.  And it has nothing to do with the performances she delivered!  I think she ATE in both those films, as she EATS with everything she does.

What do yall think. be honest.

I’ve seen A Star Is Born at least 10 times and HOG around 5.

I def disagree

A Star is Born is fantastic. I saw it 4 times in theatres and watch Encore at least twice a year. ESPECIALLY if I need a good cry. Hahaha. The final scene is Oscar worthy.

That's actually a great point about FFT. I've also watched it a hell of a lot, to the point where I pretty much know it by heart. I know there's no such thing as a genuinely unguarded moment when you're aware there's a camera pointed at you, but I like to think you do get some sense of who she really is from FFT.

It's actually become a comfort movie for me lol

Night Vision

I respectfully disagree. And you have to remember she's still relatively early in her movie career, she's only starred in two movies, I'm sure she will make more in the future that are more to your liking.

I have watched hog and ASIB and maverick and even select parts of ahs multiple times. So, people do watch her movies multiple times.

I have skipped the end of ASIB on rewatch because it's too depressing, but the beginning is fun.

By the end of hog, none of the characters are likeable, imo. So you have to enjoy the fashion and set design and fun bits etc. to enjoy a rewatch.

I think this is why I don't watch drama, preferring other genre.

ASIB lowkey bores me to tears which makes the more emotional stuff really miss their landing. I've only seen it a few times.

HOG, on the other hand. I'll watch that a billion times for Paolo alone, as well as the memed scenes.

This. Drama gets very dull very fast.

I'm hopeful for Joker though. Even if it's more dramatic like the first one is, it'll still be very enjoyable imo. Gaga's going to kill it as Harley.

Me watching ASIB three times JUST in theatres says hello

I see your three and raise it to five. Plus ASIB is what made me a stan. I will forever sing that movies’ praises. And I like HOG as well. The book was interesting and I think helped to fill in some holes that the movie had.

Idk I think ASIB has replay value. Every so often I don't mind putting it on. As others have mentioned the alcoholism bits kinda hit hard, but it's a good movie :(

ASIB is too sad, but an excellent film.

HOG is not as good but as actually the easier one to watch again.

Neither are the type of film I’d watch again and again. Rewatchable films for me tend to be funny or whimsical, but both of Gaga’s films are dark and heavy.

I've watched ASIB like 4 times, and I'll watch it again :whitney:

It has amazing soundtrack and great acting and cinematography. I think it's very replayable especially because of the music

Gucci I've also watched multiple times and I'll watch again, but I think it's not as rewatchable because it's not as good

I wonder if Joker 2 will have more replay value? I thought the first one was good, but as it’s such a dark film I’ve only seen it maybe twice.

Nor does not liking HOG, which most people didn't.

This is exactly what I’m talking about. If “most” people didn’t like it, it wouldn’t be the highest earning adult drama of this decade so far :rip:
