I think I'm going to choose to enjoy this movie just for the stunning visuals and not worry too much about the story. I think sometimes the art can be in the visuals more than the writing. Even though I'm usually a snob for writing and plot substance :laughga:  but I could make an exception here because it looks so incredibly beautiful

Also I think it's cool that there is inspiration from Maori culture in this movie! James Cameron obviously picked up some appreciation for the culture while living in New Zealand

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

It's so cool to hate on Avatar :ladyhaha: I liked the first one, people complaining about the plot, first of all you haven't seen it, second, James Cameron is usually a decent director, thirdly how many other film franchises come out every few years with the same stories but people eat it up.

looks gorgeous, zero clue about the plot and unless everyone calls it a masterpiece I probs will not be sitting in a cinema for three hours lmao

It won't get to $2 billions if most people, including some in this thread, haven't seen it, my dude. Especially  since they re-release in in movie theaters for more than 3 times already. Come on, we all know it's basic.  :billie:

Well, not as of late. His decision to ruin the lore of Terminator on last T movie is a prove of that. It confuses longtime fans and causing the movie to flop.

Why are you talking about this point as if it's a good thing tho? :deadbanana:

I meant you haven't seen the new one

His last terminator film was T2

I don't really like franchises with similar plots but marvel essentially make the same film over and over and people love it so why not Avatar
