Unfortunately, this is a minority. Putin is probably not dragging them to prison in order to pretend to be "democratic" and allows free speech.

To speak out so publicly really puts all of these people at risk of imprisonment or worse...this is extremely brave and also necessary to show the world that the Russian PEOPLE do not stand behind the maniacal decisions of their leader

I can write my very Republican representative and ask him to do more, but his response will be BS (I've done it before). At best, we can try to limit travel in order to lower oil prices but again younger Americans don't have much say.

Absolutely. And when not possible, one can spread information about why what's happening is wrong/ affects Ukraine and the world or about how to support the protesters that can.
