imnotyourbabe10 6,058
Hi there fellow Mons†ers! Happy October and all things horror here in the US (and wherever the season is celebrated elsewhere!) Just wanted to make a post to share favorite horror films with each other. I’m a big spooky movie buff, but know I am still missing out on some films. Below, I listed some of my favorites. What are your guys’ go-to’s this time of year? Also, I’d be curious to learn more about warlock mythos, crystals, and faeries (an area of lore I am unfamiliar with). I also realize these films are US/Western-centric, so please share more multicultural films, friends. SKANK 14,288
I remember seeing The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari as a kid and having my mind blown by how incredible it was. The German expressionist set design is still so influential to modern horror. It's great to see it on your list. I definitely am going to be checking out a few of these movies, you have great taste. PrincessGUY 381
I have a soft spot for all the classic slashers but Nightmare is my top in that category! Classic b/w horror faves are lugosi’s Dracula, night of the living dead also a horror movie that I think doesn’t get enough credit is The Poughkeepsie Tapes although a lot of people find it really uncomfortable to watch. I practically live for the horror genre but I’m drawing a blank rn
