I know a lot of people here believe he's guilty of that :huntyga: which is fine, I've learned to ignore it at this point. It's not worth the effort it takes to debate when no one will be moved from their position for any reason :laughga:

But there are plenty of others here who know he was innocent and appreciate his music, him as a person, and his impact on everyone from Beyonce to Gaga. I'd like to know who they are :diane:

Its just an awful situation I wish wasn't. He is the best male popstar there ever will be but removed from that, there is so much stacked against him that I can't look past it.

but omg this bop :firega:

Yes, so much! Unfortunately I didn't really know who he was until he passed (when I was 8), but then I really rapidly started stanning. And I mean STANNING. Like, drawing Michael in my exercise books at school, dancing to his songs in the school talent show, listening to his music every single day. I remember I got the Dangerous Tour DVD for my 9th birthday and we watched some of it just before we went to a fireworks display (my birthday is around Bonfire Night), and he was fired up out of the stage and I just thought it was the coolest thing ever.

TLDR: absolutely count me in!

I'm lucky enough that my grandma introduced me to his music when I was really little :diane:

The J5, Cher, and a handful of classic country singers were her main flavors. She had Jackson 5 and older MJ albums, and she even had the E.T. story book that he narrated. It was my favorite thing in the world when I was younger and I so, so wish I could find it.

I remember watching a HIStory Tour concert on TV too. That's one of my earliest memories :flutter:

Then I got a CD player and his later music. Will You Be There has been my favorite song for literal decades at this point. He used to make me feel better on the tougher days

I still remember the day he died. When they first announced he had gone into cardiac arrest it was like I stopped breathing. Then they announced his death and it's like you could hear myself and millions of others just collapse on the spot. The bittersweet thing about his passing was that it happened when I was going from a kid to a confused teen, though it was almost like he passed the torch to Gaga. He held my hand as a child, she held my hand as an adolescent, and now I can stand on my own as an independent adult

So, also tl;dr - I'm obsessed with Applehead and I always will be :sara:

Billionaires are a cancer. Even the ones you like.

I'm still a big fan of his music :vegas: I basically grew up listening to him and watching his music videos... my cousin used to impersonate him and his dance moves on family birthday parties :ladyhaha: ... we used to do this as kids all the time! You know the "ow" and crotch touching and then doing the moonwalk :derpga:

One of my favorite songs is "Earth Song" - I loooove Thriller of course and Dirty Diana...and Smooth Criminal and many more!

I have watched the Neverland Documentary out of curiosity but I was never really that interested in him as a person, so I don't know much about him as an artist.
