I'm still a believer that labels can pay/ campaign for songs to be on there....it makes no sense how certain songs pop up or stay FOREVER and others that have been on a steady incline for 6 weeks, like Hold My Hand, are paid dust.

Of course they can, and of course they do, I don't know why some people deny that... Even Stupid Love was there, let's not pretend it was ever close to being a hit single despite debuting at #5

YES. And why would a brand new song be at the very top of the list if songs had to be considered by the staff or prove themselves to be hits? There’s also tracks in that playlist that never make any noise on the hot 100 because they never make it in sales or on radio

This has probably been discussed here many times, but Spotify is just the new radio, isn't it? TTH is the new power rotation aka payola. Same old story told a slightly different way.

Still, I love how organic HMH is charting. It's not a huge hit, but it's a minor one and I feel it's mostly because people just love the song.

Isn't DWUW 2x Platinum eligible in the US?

It has 1.3M pure sales so it'd need 105M streams to reach 2M units.

Global streams are nearing 300M by now, so it shouldn't be too far from that.

This is incredible to watch, it’s showing all the signs of organic hit and after watching such progress, I hope that the label actually pull through with the playlisting in a major way. Interscope truly give her dirt nowadays, ugh.
