His entire demeanor was extremely off-putting and the fact that he could not stay unbiased made me doubt his credibility. This actually would have been super interesting if he didn't hate them so much/could hide it well enough to deliver a balanced video.

Nope

Yes, it is if you take into account that a lot of people can act and pretend to be someone that they're not; like actors. They literally change their behavior, voice, body language, etc, to become someone else.

Leave Demi aloneĀ :saladga: I swear since they came out as nonbinary and not fitting the female pop star role, shallow Gen Z gays are pressed.Ā

EDIT: They overdosed and literally died. What more do you want?

That’sĀ not a free pass toĀ being an asshole and attempting to destroy the livelihoods ofĀ a small business with theirĀ privilegie and narcissism without remorse

I'll give you that a lot of transphobic morons latched onto the Demi hate train just because they're transphobic morons (seriously, we've banned quite a few members because of it :toofunny:) butĀ people have disliked Demi well before they came out :poot:

What put me off was when they went after Gaga for "glamorizing eating disorders" after the SXSW Swine performance. Which actually lines up with that froyo thing pretty well. "Only my problems matter" seems to be the message I get from them when they speak out. Whether it's Gaga performing a song inspired by her sexual assault experiences or a shop advertising desert foods to people with dietary restrictions, they only seem to care about their own triggers and issues

OT: I love this guy's videos. I'm hyper analytical of people's little tells and movements when they speak too (though his talent is definitely professional while mine probably stems from a touch of paranoia and insecurityĀ :bear:). He hit the nail on the head imo.

This is kind of old news though :laughga: while it would usually be fine, Demi threads don't seem to go over very well.

That's taken into account, it's never going to be a 100% accurate science but micro-expressions and small, subtler mannerisms are harder to fake and you have to establish a baseline first. It's not always about determining the truth of any matter, it's about looking for inconsistencies in their body language and facial expressions in ways that aren't easy for the vast majority of people to emulate realistically, and determining that those inconsistencies aren't present in other places. There is almost always something in body language that gives indications of how the person is feeling about whatever they're discussing.

It's mostly accurate when you can sit down and press people on certain issues through questioning. The way they react can be looked at, along with any and all contexts that can be helpful. Interrogators will often readjust course and catch people's bullshit by pulling them through a rollercoaster of emotions and scenarios, making it all the more difficult for someone to seamlessly act their way through those abrupt changes. ESPECIALLY if they have to lie and make up details as they go, and even more so if there's information about whatever crime that they committed that they don't realize the cops know, and they contradict it in some way.

He even addresses that in his video stating that an analysis of an apology video wouldn't be nearly as accurate as being able to grill someone in person.

Right? :enigma:

He does YouTuber apologies too. That's the only way I've ever watched any of them - through his analysis :billie:
