I wish Gaga stopped bringing people on stage

I wouldn't have imagined MJ ever bringing people on stage,I just find it a MESS and a bit unprofessional,I came to see Gaga not teenagers trying to do the 'Touch-Your-Toes' move at the end of MTN

Yeah, Michael did it at every show. It is very, very awkward to watch. IN regards to Gaga, while I do agree that it takes away from the theatricality of the show, for some songs, it enhances the experience, like I said, for the piano-based ones, it's sweet, but for the finale, just no.

I mean it was sweet when she brought One maybe Two kids on but now she brings like Half a dozen on for during You and I and another dozen or so for Marry The Night,Its starting to get messy and unprofessional,I think there should be a line between the audience and the entertainer that shouldn't be crossed often and after what happened in Cape Town...Its sweet but messes up the show a bit.

I think that jealousy is natural from the fans but it kinda spoils it as well. I was in the Monster Pit at Manchester and I was so caught up in everything that when it got to Princess Die and Marry The Night I'd forgotten she invited people on stage- though that didn't stop me trying to get her attention lol.

One thing that really stood out to me was, after the show, I bumped into a guy that I'd been queueing with and, when we'd been waiting, he seemed like a nice guy but purely because he hadn't been picked to go on stage he got really b---hy. The first thing he said to me was "Did you SEE that guy on stage? He should NOT have been on that stage at all. Did you know he's a **** star? He shouldn't have been on that stage if he was a **** star." The first thought in my mind was 'What difference does it make if he's a **** star? There's no law against **** stars going on stage at a Gaga concert' and I very quickly just came to the conclusion that he was very, very jealous and upset. I can understand that but, to be honest, even though I didn't get on stage I had one of the best nights of my life being in the audience and I didn't leave disappointed at all.

It bugs me that people let getting on stage affect their mood at the concert so much.

I was on stage with her and I agree! Especially during Princess Die, because it was very uncomfortable with it being such a sad and dramatic song. Glad she changed it for Hair, which makes more sense. I am very comfortable arround her, but being on such a huge stage is something totally different and kinda embarrasing.

Marry the night, especially since it's the final song, would be better if she would do it full force by herself.

I would love it if she was more selective, I loved when she pulled up that kid who joined in on the Scheisse choreo, that was so cool!

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

In general people were nice but after I got on stage in Amsterdam, afterwards at other shows, lots of kids came up to me asking me for tips on how to get onstage. It was crazy, really! Not to mention the jealous b---hes. :ohwell: Some are so focussed on it, they don't even fully enjoy the show.

I took my Mum to the BTW Ball with me on the 9th Sept in London - she entered the stadium a hater, and left the stadium a dedicated Monster. You know why? For this very reason. She said she'd never seen Lady Gaga in such a wonderful light before. Thanks to her bringing fans on stage, breeding this astounding positivity, accepting gifts and chatting to fans and letting people come backstage to see her, she said she'd completely fallen in love with her and she'd never realised she had that kind of side to her. Don't get me wrong, Gaga's vocal ability, her amazing music and the immensity of the show also had something to do with it, but that's the main reason my Mum fell in love with her. The fact she does all this, according to my Mam, made her seem "less false, more genuine and so inspiring".

Since you're a Monster, you probably wouldn't understand how incredibly genuine it makes her look since we already know she is. To other people, this is the first time they've seen her in such a way. It doesn't disrupt the flow of the show at all - if anything, it brings the show together nicely, with the message of 'Born This Way' resonating delightfully! :)

This says it all. It makes her fans happier and more connected, it's truly a magical experience to be up there with Gaga, and convert haters/nonfans who are dragged to the concert by their friends, true fans as they see how warm and genuine Gaga is. Also rule one of performing is to connect to your audience--this is the first thing I learned when we took mandatory drama in secondary school. At any rate, they will spread the news to their friends who will then buy tickets to the next concert. These newcomers in turn will fall in love with Gaga, and spread the word to more and more people, ad nauseum. I don't have a business degree, but word of mouth is considered the best form of advertising and what Gaga is doing is strengthening her brand, which I think is all the rage in the business world. This is actually the OPPOSITE of unprofessional, but VERY VERY professional, as you're making your brand more and more global and loved. Gaga is doing EXACTLY what APPLE is doing (i.e. having fans participate in launches). This is why there are the Apple fanboys. Reading business articles, they have compared Gaga to Apple's marketing strategy and that's why she's the global leader.

I don't know, better to have a strong brand than not?

Bitter Rival

nope i love it. i think it's a great way to pump herself and the audience up. even if it doesn't look "professional," since when has anyone ever considered gaga in that way? she'd rather have fun than care about what people think.
