You haters are actually OBSESSED with them - let them live their lives, you run into every topic and attack them. This is a thread about amazing news that someone has given birth and that they sweetly honoured Harry's late mother and the Queen. Can't you guys stop your pettiness for at least one thread? I get second hand embarrassment. I'm not attacking her, just pointing out the weird choices and questioning motives. I don't wish her or Harry any harm whatsoever and I said the baby is innocent in all of this. I don't see you having the same outrage for Harry slamming his family just after the Queen has lost her husband, which is definitely worse. I rarely comment on threads about them now, if you haven't noticed. I only say something if it's major news, which this is. We do want them to live their lives - in priavcy, as they originally claimed. But they insist on being constantly in the media, whining and telling outrageous stories, some of which have been disproved. I wish the baby well. I'm just questioning her parents choice of name because it is highly bizarre, you can't deny that.

And why would he say this mere months after she's lost her husband, his grandfather, who he attended the funeral of? Notice that Harry and Meghan's biggest demand is for privacy. Privacy for them, that is. It seems to be that everyone else's privacy does not matter, particularly if they feel in any way slighted by them. We are allowed to comment on whatever we see fit. If anything, the things we dislike get us more fuelled than we stuff we like. The whole point of a forum is to put our thoughts out there, for and against. On the contrary, if you don't like what we have to say, just ignore us but don't tell us we don't have the right to speak. Funny how Harry and Meghan's fans are all about supporting them in their rights to free speech but don't like their detractors using the same right. Oh, and Harry recently called the first amendment, the right to free speech, "bonkers" and it was purely because he didn't like the press showing up him and his wife's hypocrisy. I don't know how anyone can be a fan of them after that. If there's one thing everyone should fight for, it's free speech. I don't see what Harry said as shading the Queen. He should be allowed to talk about his life and how the people in it have affected him. Of course he shouldn't say anything too slanderous but the royal family, particularly the older ones, are very behind with the times. I think privacy to them means away from the critical judgemental eyes of the British press and the British public. Every little thing they do is judged and twisted to be something negative. It doesn't surprise me that it took its toll on their mental health. They want to live their lives on their terms and be in control of their public image. But it seems the British public just want to be hateful. They've turned their back on him for daring to be free. I don't know what Harry said about free speech. I think Harry thought of internet trolls and how they would have free reign to be toxic and that's why he said what he said.

I think Harry thought of internet trolls and how they would have free reign to be toxic and that's why he said what he said. He said she was the cause of genetic pain being passed down through the family because of traditional family upbringings and keeping a stiff upper lip. That's really heavy stuff to accuse a family member of. I could never do that. My family isn't perfect (whose is?) but any familial issues are dealt with internally or within the family. Anything that I'd tell anyone is in closed situation in confidence. I wouldn't dream of putting that out into the wider world on national television. I thought that was most people's moral code? Being a bit behind the times in terms of how you raise a family is not worth complaining about on a public scale. I just wonder what's going on with the obsession over needing everyone to know your business. Again, very hypocritical for a couple who say they want privacy. Harry had a live therapy session recently. That is the antithesis of privacy. Yeah, privacy to them means only entertaining media outlets who bow down to them. They want the positive sides of fame and can't take the rough with the smooth. I laugh when they say the British media was too cut-throat. American media is way worse - they invented gossip magazine culture and TMZ! Everything they do isn't twisted to become negative, it simply is negative. There's so many situations they do where it's a case of "that would have been fine if only they'd done it this way." They just seem tone deaf and can't read the room. The British public didn't turn our backs on them for wanting to be free. We did so because they were getting ideas above their station, Meghan was supposedly awful behind the scenes, they were flouting royal protocol and once they left, all they could do was complain and spill behind the scenes gossip and shade the UK and its people who funded their lifestyle. Now that they're not working royals, they won't give up their titles and still expect handouts. Yet, the UK public are the bad guys in all of this. We just don't want taxpayer funded rich people complaining about their lives. And once they leave said life, still expect royal treatment. Harry was saying that free speech laws were too lax but all he basically said was that the paparazzi shouldn't follow celebrities. I don't really know what that's got to do with free speech but he made it basically all about him. But if we're talking about the actual free speech law, hate speech isn't allowed. The law states free speech is fine permitted it isn't hateful. There already are laws in place that can prosecute internet trolls, they've been around for some time. Obviously, if they're getting death threats and the like, that shouldn't be tolerated. But they couldn't take any opinions that weren't in complete support of them. You can still respect someone, & acknowledge their flaws & criticize them no matter your status. H&M have demanded privacy in terms of how the media (& people in general) create stories, scrutinize & bully them and rightly so IMO. They’ve told their story in the hope that this flawed Monarchy & the media can change intrinsically re: mental health, racism etc among other things. Sure, with this comes more attention & scrutiny - but for a different reason and in a different context given they’ve removed themselves from the most toxic of environments (no matter what they do, they’ll never not be scrutinized & stalked by the press). I like that the Monarchy is being checked by one of its own. I like that Harry isn’t abiding by the Crown’s ‘do nothing / say nothing’ mantra in order to remain ‘neutral’. I also like that he & Meghan chose to honor his mother & grandmother by naming their daughter after them. I don’t think it’s all that complicated.. Harry is just living the life he wants to live & is speaking his truth.
