The Fame often features really rudimentary production that relies way too much on the same few tricks. The Fame Monsterās production has aged like wine, so itās definitelyĀ a contender. I like the grit in BTW but it relies too much on having millions of synth layers and it often sounds amateur. Joanne is way too clean for a folk/rock/country inspired album.
