In case you didn't know breaking the fourth wall is when a character acknowledges their fictionality, often by addressing the audience and talking directly to the camera, like this:

Given the campy nature of the story, i think this could work if it's true and done right. Movies with similar style like The Wolf of Wall Street, Vice, I, Tonya, and The Big Short all did pretty well at recent oscars too, so this style is well-liked by the academy and critics. Also, knowing that the movie will follow Patrizia's perspective, does this mean Gaga is the one who's gonna break the fourth wall?

Interesting! Could work if written well. Flipside is that it comes across parodic.

Maybe this also explains why some characters like Jared Leto's are borderline caricature, because it's from Patrizia's point-of-view.
