In my eyes I am in support of a soft border - showing passports. However we still have the Common Travel Area which the ROI is still a part of.

Just say EU Membership instead of European. Those are two completely different things and it throws people off in a conversation like this lol

Nobody would deny Scotland is 'British' in that it is part of the UK, but a fair number of Scottish people don't identify with British cultural identity.

I just said that the UK is European geographically, but culturally maybe not.
