More than 15 million people in the UK have received a first dose of a coronavirus vaccine, the prime minister has said. Mr Johnson went on: "In England, I can tell you we have now offered jabs to everyone in the first four priority groups, the people most likely to be severely ill from coronavirus, hitting the first target we set ourselves.

Latest government figures showed a total of 15,062,189 people have received a first dose of a vaccine, and 537,715 people have had two doses.

This is the equivalent of 20 percent of the population

the first time anything in this pandemic has gone right (probably because the tories weren't the ones stabbing people with the needles) it's about time. I am so done with 2020 part II

The first thing we have done that I feel proud about. All over 70's should now be vaccinated or have been offered an appointment. Once the older generations are vaxxed we can get on with our lives hopefully.

Yes I'm glad the NHS are the ones that dealt with it, and the tories didn't sell the contract to like G4S or something ridiculous.

My country just sucks at this. If we continue with that speed of vaccination we need 4 years until everybody is vaccinated. :interestinga:

I know my very vocal opinion on the tories can be annoying but their handling of this has been the bare fckin minimum and even then it went all t!ts up. I'm so done and I cannot wait until this is over.

It's been atrocious I agree, and it's more annoying that majority of it could of beeen avoided if they just acted quicker.

It's a difficult one because whilst I agree with the majority of the above. The eat out to help out scheme literally saved my business and allowed me to make some money to be able to survive, but I also understand that it contributed to community spread so I'm torn a bit really.
