Nobody is questioning her past achievements. The passion, drive, and effort have all been lacking for 2 eras and it really shows. She didn’t promote the leads for Joanne or chromatica, we haven’t had more than 2 singles or an actual WW tour since ARTPOP, each video or promo piece we get is followed by months of silence, no communication, she’s become that Hollywood celebrity she claimed she didn’t want to become etc. Since 2016 she really has been doing the bare minimum for her music career, an album every 2-3 years with max 2 singles and a couple of videos. It really seems like a chore for her now. Of course it’s going to be disheartening for her fans that expect the whole experience that she built her career on. Imo it’s completely justifiable to say she had lost interest or passion for music We also can’t be sure of what they had planned. It’s easy to say lots of stuff was suppose to happen when you can’t actually prove anymore. Let’s not forget SL was released pre pandemic and all we got were radio interviews. Why would you assume her next album will be panned by fans and critics? Say what you want about Gaga but she has actually never released a bad album (even ARTPOP which I’m not super fond of).
