flyaway 15,350
Is she still a relevant figure in your country? Does her music sound on the radio? Do people like her? The question doesn't apply for Azerbaijan citizens.
dynamite 50,811
I constantly hear Rain On Me on the radio and see the SFA Valentino ad on TV 100 times a day and I see billboards for it in my city too
Babylon98 4,830
She was very relevant here from The Fame - BTW and then with ASIB. Chromatica + Rain On Me did okay, ARTPOP and Joanne not really. Just like everywhere else she was either loved or hated during her first peak. And with ASIB came a wave of respectability and "oh she's actually talented" because talent = singing ballads for small-minded people. I think she's moderately well-liked nowadays but there are still a lot of people who are stuck to her tfm-btw days and the meat-dress and dislike her out of bandwagonnism. Right now you are most likely to hear shallow or arutw on the radio, rain on me occasionaly and stupid love or bad romance less frequently. I'm from Portugal. Killa 16,390
I dont know how it is in mine but above theres abswer But here in italy shes def an establoshed artist. Shallow plays often, sometimes lk what i found or always remember. I still heard 911 other day. Tho i dont believe they ll continue playing those. Stupid love and mostly million reasons feature many tv moments. Million reasons is the sad moment/intense background. I get the idea people now know this new gaga. As the strange one that had horns, was a disco prostitute and vomited over is prettymuch forgotten. Thats my impression
Luke78619 23,072
The radio in the U.K. ate up SL and ROM, still eating ROM as well to be fair, as it deserves which is why I wish she’d release another single Her face is also plastered over big beauty shops, like Boots or Superdrug or House of Fraser and Debenham because of the Valentino collab, we love to see it the ad has been playing on tv a lot as well mans Shallow was massive here as well, she could have much more success if her label just pushed her material more insta: good_lukeing | I have nothing else to promote
julz 5,921
For me, i think here in The Philippines, Gaga is known as the eccentric dance popstar. She inspired local mainstream artists here like Jolina, Vice Ganda, Nadine Lustre to be free with their creativity. But i felt that during ARTPOP and Cheek2Cheek, her fame went down here. It went up again because of Million Reasons, and then A Star Is Born..due to the big number of covers of her songs. Our country really like ballads. Shallow is a karaoke duet favorite. The term 'gaga' here means 'crazy woman', so sometimes i feel that that makes people think of her differently at the back of their heads, like not serious. But i also feel that her name is here to stay, just like Madonna's. Doing movies would further cement her name. Now in Chromatica era, i dont feel her fame here, because of Kpop invasion here, but im not worried. Thats why i feel that Sour Candy would be impactful, atleast in our region here in Asia, because of Kpop...but let's see. Again, my opinion
A Very Gaga Holida 22,124
Here in France, she started being very impactful culturally when Poker Face became big. She was very present in the media, but that wasn't her peak. In 2010, she was less present on the radio, but she, herself, was the world basically. You couldn't not hear about her. If you went to the grocery store, you'd hear people talk about her or sing her songs in the cheese department, that was crazy. Her popularity started declining during Born This Way but she was still very present in culture. During ARTPOP, she was very unpopular but still talked about pretty often. Joanne didn't make noise. Then, she was kinda inevitable and super popular again during ASIB. The three singles were massive, especially Shallow and Always Remember Us This Way. Shallow is literally one of the biggest hits of all time here. Everybody knows it. She's still popular now, people love her but Chromatica basically doesn't exist. Red 95,711
She was universally hated here in Brazil till she came here for the BTWB, then she got slightly more popular but after ASIB every one acts like they always loved her, even though they despised her If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating. Also during 2012, a lot of the GP here thinks she is like an anti-religious person and that her show is demonic or something. I love this picture where she posed with the police here in the Philippines before leaving the country haha. Obviously the rumors like "Is she a man, does she have a penis" were also around during 2009-2010. warhol killer ✴ GAGA¹⁵
Guest Adarsh
The Fame is one of the best selling international female albums in India. Everyone around me thinks Gaga is extremely creative and fashion forward. In fact “Gaga” is like an adjective used to describe someone who has avant garde taste. A lot of Bollywood actors are inspired by her style and she has been mentioned in popular songs as well. I won’t be exaggerating if I say she’s one of the most well known western artists in India. Almost everyone knows who she is. Shallow was also a huge hit here
homomo 23,847
Very relevant in Ireland. I’m pretty sure Shallow and Rain on Me are in the top 100 of AM, Spotify, and iTunes (excluding Xmas songs of course) Everything she releases here always goes top five. A lot of things reach number one. She’s consistently played on the major city and national radio stations. And I’ve never heard nobody complain about her. Ever since ASIB, she’s been universally loved in this country. 0110100001100101011011000110110001101111
FameMonster01 7,024
In Croatia she was H U G E, from 2008, she even had a sold out concert for the monster ball, with over 15 thousand people attending ( my country had a population of 4.1m ppl at the time). she was also big throughout 2011, but then in 2012 she seemed to fade away in 2013, Applause was a pretty big hit here and everyone knows the song, but Applause was also her last hit until Shallow Cheek to Cheek and Joanne were almost non existent here, except for MR that did make a littleee bit of noise as it recieved spins on croatian radio Basically ASIB revived her, and now all the locals know Rain On Me, and Stupid Love is familiar with younger audiences
Wet Fire 6,894
As a freak (in a good sense lol). And she's known to many as someone who's very popular (they don't bother knowing what she's exactly popular for). And she's known to be an embodiment of freedom to many. Needless to say, as a very creative artist. She's proudly mentioned by gays in pride parades as the reason why they turned gay one fine day. (Mocking the stupid idea of many conservative, ignorant Indians who claim that the 'promotion' of homosexuality is imported from the west) The ASIB era soundtrack was extremely well received. Many straight men I know were singing, quoting songs from the film. She's considered to be one of the major representatives of western pop music and culture here. I'm from India.
