if what she claims is to be taken seriously (protecting the skin barrier, balancing the skin microbiome, and reducing inflammation caused by internal/external stressors), she is scientifically obliged to make her products parfum- and essential oil-free (the only exception is wash-off treatments, e.g., cleansers). unfortunately, it won't happen, which, to me, preemptively indicates that, at best, her line will be fenty 2.0 with jlo beauty-esque slogans: ordinary formulas with extraordinary claims that cannot be traced back to, and dermatologically proven by, the used/chosen/promoted ingredients.

if i'm being harsh, i apologize, but i've been into skincare for a year now, and i'm very skeptical when it comes to celebrity lines. also, releasing skincare products within the current state of the beauty community/cosmeceutical industry is quite risqué (imagine if she decides to release a sunscreen...). if she does, tho, i'll be waiting for kween dr. dray's review. savage times await, i don't think we are ready :fatcat:

Couldn't agree more.

The problem with Fenty Skin (and Kylie Skin as well) is that you're just better off using drugstore skincare cuz at least it's cheaper, has fragrance-free options (that Barbados cherry thing counts as fragrance?), and works just fine compared to high end alternatives.

For Haus Labs Skin to be genuine, it has to live up to the claims and use proven ingredients and formulations. I think using novel ingredients is fine as long as there's scientific evidence to back it up. E.g. Tamanu oil is an uncommon ingredient but it has research that backs up its claimed benefits.

Fingers-crossed Haus Labs delivers but I sort of doubt it (no offense to Gaga) since these celebrity lines don't really go that route (Kylie Skin and the infamous walnut scrub).

My prediction is that Sour Candy will be used in the campaign (song, maybe a name of one of the products, etc.) And this will be the rumored visual. Not a music video/single.

I don't know why Nicola would be teasing on a post that's teasing skin care if it were unrelated.
