Also, isn't promo mainly to sell tour tickets, which has been hugely impacted by covid. Why spend any money on promo right now, if the profits are so far away. Not even in the same fiscal year for tax accounting.  

 

That’s another thing to consider. I think that’s why Team Gaga chose to push more merch this era. Promo is a big time and money investment, it’s not just something you can do for fun necessarily.

This. Gaga should be compared to her female peers. (Katy, Taylor, Miley, and a few others.) Gaga is doing well for being 12 years into her career, the only female peers that sell more are Taylor and Adele. And maybe Rihanna

Honestly after reading all this and having my own upset with how this album cycle is shaping up I’ve decided that I’m over this album as an era. I wish people could just enjoy the music and leave it at that but I think people’s expectations of Gaga are too high. I think people expect her to do so much with this album when I don’t feel like her heart is really in it anymore. Of course we don’t know what’s really going on, but that’s what it feels like. I mostly listen to hip hop and we’re all just content with the music, cause it speaks for itself. Honestly I barely listen to pop anymore except for Taylor, Ariana, and Gaga, but even the other fanbases aren’t as toxic as Gaga’s. My main fan base is Taylor’s and we all just support her and are happy whenever we get a video or an album, or even just interaction from from her (which she does really well). I feel like people think Gaga is really really fragile and they use that to excuse a lot of her absence or lack of interest with her own projects but at the end of the day she doesn’t need a reason to not want to promote her albums or interact with fans, she doesn’t have to do anything if she doesn’t want. I just listen to the album and that’s enough.

For me what makes me sad is not the opinions, it's the fact that they become headlines. Imagining Gaga coming up on the site and the first thing she sees is a whole thread dedicated to the fact she might not be enough... 

If you have an opinion about something , state it politely in the thread that might already exists, instead of creating a new one... I can't see another 'Gaga is Over' thing. 

Also I don't think giving Gaga more love compassion and kindness. Keeping the hurtful thoughts to ourselves, I don't see it as compromising myself because it's just music in the end... I think she's like family now. She deserves a bit of unconditional love.

I genuinely believe that Gaga is not in the frame of mind to be promoting an album right now, for reasons we can only speculate. Yes it’s annoying as a fan getting this incredible body of work and not seeing any performances along with it (I’m not complaining with 3 music videos this year at all). At the end of the day, we don’t know what’s going on with Gaga so we should just respect her decision not to promote as hard as previous albums, she’s a human being.

How do the gays on here manage to have the exact same thread every week? A member cries about the exact same thing, other members tell them to shut up, a smaller batch of members tell those members that the OP is entitled to their opinion, and then there’s like 10 pages of fighting and off topic stuff.

joanne had PI in September, MR in December and JW in February, just five months after the lead singles video

whereas SL was February, ROM was May, and 911 was September, seven months after the leak singles video

now if you mean one single year rather than a span of 12 months then yeah you’re correct, but who cares if they all come within the same year, timespan is more important

I agree, I think we do have the right to express how we feel respectfully, but I don’t need to see a thread bashing Gaga everyday. Honestly I also don’t think she visits this site, I don’t think she has in a looooong time. 
 

at the end of the day she’s a person, and she’s a pop star. She will make whatever decisions she thinks are best and in tune with what she wants to do and how she feels. We won’t have any control over that and that’s fine. If you don’t like that maybe you should reevaluate just how much you place in one person, cause if that is really really distressing to people then that’s concerning, especially cause nobody actually knows her outside her brand and her business life. It’s just music, the music has the messages in it, you don’t need over the top eras.
