Is this real or parody? I thought he couldn't top the zombie walk. 😂

did Sam Smith himself call him out tho?

I’m not saying what he’s done is ok it just seems to me this is the same old people on the internet being judgmental and wasting everyone’s time.

it was a blunder but imo the ones who made it an issue probably have nothing else better to do.

No, Sam Smith THEMselves didn't call Shawn out, but the people did hold Shawn accountable and Shawn did the right thing to fix it. It's all about having Shawn learn about the correct pronouns to use while referring to someone else who uses different pronouns :)

I'm just so tired of everyone treating misgendering someone as something that people are offended about without any justification. Shawn did the right thing and no one is mad at him, but saying that people overreacted and that Sam didn't find it offensive so it's alright isn't the point of the argument. I'm glad Sam took it well but not everyone who is misgendered will feel that way. I'm not offended btw, but what if I was? I'm in my right. After all, I saw dozens of comments yesterday that were incredibly blind toward the importance of caring about using other people's correct pronouns. I'm honestly tired of people (especially within the LGBT community) underestmating the importance of pronouns to people's identities.

Then please don't direct your anger towards me and don't just assume things. I have never said any of these things or even alluded to them. Just because you saw a dozen of comments who were undermining the importance of pronouns, does not mean you lash out on a stranger. If you want to stand and support a good cause, make sure you use the right language and not "so seethe". Many can acknowledge that I was referring to the toxicity of cancel culture and in no shape or form did I provide context for you to misconstrue me as someone who is underestimating the importance of pronouns.

I still don't know why so many members on here take such issues and run with it beyond the horizon :poot: . Even Sam didn't care THAT much :ladyhaha: . I'm glad Shawn apologized, tho  .

Ew, David!

Cameltoe Chariot

The smartest decision Sam Smith ever made was to go public with their pronouns :billie: it gets them more press and social media traction than their songs these days :ladyhaha:

Stop creating fictional outcomes in your mind. Nobody's going to be offended by this, he did the right thing. And someone can be offended by something even if its original victim is not, so seethe.

YOu might not be offended by Shawn's apology, but you sure as well were offended by Versace's post.

"So seethe", like was that necessary? After all Versace was trying to help prevent people from unnecessarily bashing Shawn.

Bambino

Both are mature enough to deal with this innocent, not so serious mistake like adults. That can't be said about a lot of y'all on here.
