My mom: stuff from the 70s. Favorite band is the Bee Gees. When she was younger though it was the Monkees.
My dad: stuff from the 60s. Favorite bands are either The Mamas & The Papas or The Beach Boys.

My Mom: Honestly, a BIG 80s music fan. Anything from the 1980s is my mom's favorite. She's a big fan of Culture Club, UB40, Level 42, and The Police/Sting. But she also has become a big Gaga fan (especially since Mayhem came out.)

My Dad: A mixture of 1970s and 1980s rock music. He's a big fan of Kansas, Styx, and Meat Loaf. He's also a massive country music (specifically 1970s to early 2000s) fan. He's a big Garth Brooks and Brooks and Dunn fan.

- She used to always play the twilight soundtrack in the car when that came out

My dad doesn’t really listen to specific artists, but he likes random songs here and there. When he was younger he was a huge fan of George Michael & he liked Madonna a lot too.

Specific songs he goes feral for:

- Anything Dua Lipa (he’s obsessed with her royal Albert show)

My dad listens to a lot of grateful dead, bruce springsteen, and metallica.

My dad is much more open-minded with music though, and so I have gotten him into a lot of artists I like and we have listening parties. He is the only straight old white man in the world who can recite every line of 'Girlfriend' by Avril because I forced him to listen to it so much as teen
