Yes both parties serve the military industrial complex and there is no anti war party. But depending on whos president, their strategy could benefit me or make things worse for me. I never claimed wars will stop under Trump or Pelosi, I simply talked about their strategy and how it could possibly effect me.

Yes which is why my comment was a joke, but some people here took it seriously and wanted to argue with me. Which is fine I enjoy arguing about this stuff specially with respectful people here.

My main point is that another 4 years of Trump would be very very detrimental to the world and democracy as a whole in the long term. So if the US leaves the ME in peace a little bit more, well congrats but I assure you the possibility of a quasifascist superpower is not a good one for the ME

You're referring to this concept of democrat tyranny as if it was the only thing stopping the US from being a full-fledged utopian democracy when it's not. I brought the Republicans in because what you said implies Trump wouldn't be capable of doing something like that, and he already did.

You are seeing what you want to see because I absolutely never implied that. I think both sides are evil, the republicans & Trump are simply more blatant about it.

America has always had fascism, it is a white supremacist  country built on the backs of slaves. The whole system is rotten.

Democrats still participate in voter suppression, they still uphold white supremacy, they still exploit and murder overseas, they still bow to corporations & the wealthy, they still jail black people and uphold the police state, they still terrorize the indigenous people whose land they have stolen, they still get ICE to detain people in cages. Yes I would rather have Hillary or Pelosi or Biden over Trump but only by the slimmest margin because they are only the slightly shinier side of the same coin.

Democrats tyranny? Did you forget about the Bush family or Trump's numerous war crimes? Doing these kind of things are necessary in order to be the president of the world's most powerful country. It's not good, it's not fair, but electing a fascist as President wouldn't help much I think

You are against the fascist that effect you personally, but when it comes to the fascists that effect me and my life, you view it as a needed political strategy. You have different standard towards none America. Seems like you were projecting your views on me!

Yeah, but participating in voter oppession, upholding white supremacy, and all the other things you mentioned are not inherently fascist. They're authoritarian. America is not a dicatorship (yet) and, although it has a very flawed election system, it is not a fascist country per the definition of fascism. It doesn't have any of the signs of a fascist country, like a Great Leader. Other signs like anti-intellectualism are only now entering the mainstream thanks to the Republican side. So, while I don't by any means believe the US will never enter fascism, the fact that there's gay parades by itself (along with many other things) prove it is not aactually a fascist country.

American has and has had fascist qualities always and in the past (hello McCarthyism, hello AIDS epidemic, hello Cointelpro). If you choose not to see that then fine.

also saying white supremacy is not inherently fascist is a goddamn laugh

The American people deserve and demand to know what is going on right now. The lies around something this important are ahorent.

I don't view it as a needed political strategy. I honestly believe America's supremacy should be overthrown. I said it's not fair because it isn't fair, not because I agree with it. I absolutely do not and the damage America has done and is doing to the world is always understated and ignored. I don't think methods such as this are necessary from an objective viewpoint, I mean that they're necessary because the President is pressured by various external forces and interests that make it so. I wish those external forces and interests didn't exist, but they do. And the only thing I can do from my place to change something is to speak, but America won't stop this until there's some kind of worldwide revolt, and I don't think that will happen soon.

White supremacism is fascist when directly enforced by the state. The US is deeply capitalistic and as such it does enforce white supremacy, but not directly and it doesn't enforce it (yet). I'm not saying the US didn't have fascist tendencies in the past or that it doesn't have them now, I'm saying the US is not a fascist State. Those are two different things.

Some example of fascism just from Obama alone: Jailing journalists in solitary confinement without a trial, Removed Habeas Corpus which means Americans can be jailed without a trial, passed the patriot act to illegally spy on Americans, Approved Arctic Drilling, Deportation Mexicans by gassing them and building cages, Physically Attacking Dakota Access Pipeline protest, kicked out Americans out of their homes to bail out banks, created more wars than Bush, War crimes like drone strikes, flint michigan water, responsible for literal slavery in Libya.....

Okay well we are clearly on different planets if you think the US government does not enforce white supremacy. I wish you a good day.

Again, authoritarianism is not the same as fascism. Fascism is a specific kind of authoritarianism which, among other things, involves the creation of a single-party state, is far-right, and ultranationalist.

It does enfore it but not explicitly, that's what I meant. You should see the difference between having a very problematic history with racism which resulted in extreme inequality and racism, and actually explicitly enforcing division through the powers of the State, based on some invented theory or whatever. I may not be explainign myself as well as I would want to,  but my point is this: the relationship between the US and white supremacism is an authoritarian one, not a fascist one.

Well it is a two parties that serve the one same system. Their language is not far right nationalist, but their practices are. Its just more passive aggressive and psychopathic than classic fascism considering we live in the 21st century

But then it is not fascism. It's authoritarianism.
