Honestly, I feel like we've been saying this about charli since Vroom Vroom but she hasn't like taken taken off yet.

Maybe if 100 gecs takes off charli can finally chart:vegas:

Really? I don't even know how long people talk about Charli music (I thought most people don't care.)

I mean SOPHIE was already charting a little bit, when 100 gecs really takes off, Charli and PC definitely will be remain as a major influence in that genre.

Also, is that true that only gay listen Bubblegum Bass?

As the saying goes only fools never change their minds. After relistening to their entire discography carefully I have to admit the way they achieve to mix wonky, happy hardcore, emo, dubstep, drum'nbass, hardstyle, glitchhop, crunk, eurodance... is pretty good and kinda different compared to other representants of the bubblegum bass scene and is done in an innovent way. I was really into the flow of their music, it's fun and fresh indeed.

They are good representants of the "maybe" upcoming postgender era composed by artists like Jockstrap, Black Dresses, Poppy, Sevdaliza, Sega Bodega, Let's eat Grandma, Hannah Diamond, Arca... It's difficult to be experimental and catchy at the same time, that's what I can reproach to some bubble gum bass artits, a lot of them try but few succeed. But now I can add them to the list of the good ones.

So kinda the future of music yes
Thanks for the discovery

Honestly, it might take a long while for the public to get used to this kind of music. :messga: It took me a long time to even enjoy a little bit of it myself.

Jimmy Urine released three projects after the last MSI album (in 2015?) if you are interested ;)

- "The Secret Cinematic Sounds Of Jimmy Urine", an instrumental synthwave album wich sounds like a retro videogame soundtrack
- "Euringer", an album wich sounds a bit like MSI with cool featurings (Grimes, Gerad Way, Serj Tankian) and a cover of Whuthering Heights :air: (Here is the full album)

- "Fuktronic" a collaborative project with Serj Tankian (System of A Down) designed like the soundtrack for an imaginary movie
