At any rate this means president Biden will likely push to expand the court so long as they can win the senate. As much as I detest Biden, this means that the importance of voting for Biden is more important than ever for that one aim. Can we all acknowledge that both parties will be hypocrites so long as it serves their interest for power? That's all this is. EASY: • Ask for unanimous consent on every vote for the next 2 months • Budget limit the right • Limit the debt ceiling HARD: • Impeach Bill Barr, Kavanaugh (both possible if the filibuster’s in the dumpster) or even Trump again (might back fire badly) PETTY: • Threaten Joe Biden to anoint Hillary Clinton on the SC if they replace RGB (which they don’t even have to) lmao Nancy Pelosi has, unsurprisingly, signaled she won’t do most of those, while not giving a plan herself. Honestly what if a Hillary Clinton clone comes along and clumsily loses a future election? What’s to stop the republican president from adding like 5 judges? I just see a back and forth coming. Making hard decisions is essentially congress’ job, but they’ve become so lazy now they wanna push so much more than they need to, to the court.
