The majority of fans love the song, a fan favorite, prob the most successful album track. They keep saying how our fan favorite song probably isn’t a good single choice- but like really? The main hit of this album has already been released, the success of the next single is not gonna be good or bad cus of what song they end up choosing . Pretty much any song left from Chromatica could have the same shot of success or failure I doubt there will be a big commercial difference between 911 or let’s say fun tonight- they each have there strengths and weaknesses. Same with Babylon vs. free woman. these stans are worried that it’s gonna flop like honey if it’s gonna flop, any other song they choose is gonna be no different This isnt a case of choosing a fan favorite like Sheibe over the edge of glory There’s a clear difference - TEOG is just much more (and is) likely to be successful Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

One person did and everyone else just copied the audio track used by them. The 70M views aren't because of freaking Buttons, it's because of the cool "orchestral sound to dance beat" effect. The views would probably be the same had the hashtag actually used 911 instead of other random songs. The issue is people there don't know about 911, not that they hate it. If her team can release it with Gaga posting a (or several) such fun videos, it CAN become viral. People here are trying to invalidate the viral potential of the CII/911 transition so hard I'm laughing. I like the song too and I'm almost certain it is the next single given how Gaga performed it and has the siren emojis on her IG posts, but Tik Tok is a fickle thing. One day this is popular the next day that. If 911 is going to be successful it'll be because people like the song and not because 16 year olds who have a passing interest in Gaga pushed it to the top. I wasn't aware of the viral trend on TikTok but this could DEFINITELY be the defining factor of 911 being a huge success. How long has this trend been going on? Perhaps the VMA performance intentionally began with the Chromatica II interlude into 911 to "reclaim" and show the world that THIS is what the viral videos originated from. Bloodpop talked about how the smooth transition into 911 was Gaga's idea and that it was something everyone they played it to talked about when they heard it. If the original TikToker didn't change the song, 911 would've definitely went viral by now.. 75M views on those videos?! What a missed opportunity!! I'm actually excited for 911 as a single now.
