Some **** about how his team wanted her to sound a certain way on the record (since it was for his album anyway) but since it was essentially her song she didn’t want them to ruin it. The version that leaked is supposedly the edited version Kendrick’s team made (hence the altered vocals). The original was supposed to be a bit more pop with a bit of J-Pop too. Basically his label probably thought it was too gay or wouldn’t appeal to his fans how it was.

1. Her performance of A-Yo on SNL is one of her top performances. (The bar performance of the song is good as well.) I don't think the album version of the song is very good, but those two performances are perfection. 

2. Enigma is the best song on the new album. Her vocals shine the most out of any other song on the album. Why isn't it getting much love?
