Aren't there different strains of the virus? How did they get approval so quickly? Did they make a deal with Russians or something?

There's multiple strains of the flu, yet we still make yearly vaccines that offer calculated projections on how the virus will mutate. I would assume this is something similar.

I can't help but be a little suspicious about a vaccine being released so soon. I'm not an anti-vaxxer, especially not when we're trying to eradicate a global pandemic, but something doesn't feel right.
