I don't think they should be banned per say. If ppl wanna give that's their choice

 

But what I'm saying is if prices go up to pay for higher wages, ppl shouldn't expect tips as an obligation either

We have a system like this in the Seattle area. The local minimum wage was increased to $15/hour for most businesses so many restaurants have chosen to add an automatic 20% service fee to your bill to cover the increased wages / benefits. There is usually an option to leave an additional tip if you choose.
