There’s a whole bunch of actual evidence that his family was white.  I mean I know lots of people are joking around about this but why try to hype up a myth rather than hype up the actual talented and successful black/mixed composers at the time such as George Bridgetower?

Was just about to post this... there a ton of actual black composers & musicians from that time who were not “white-washed” so why exactly would Beethoven be? There’s also no evidence like you said except for an article posted years ago by a student newspaper who based their evidence on one off color drawing. It’s pretty astounding to see how easily people will believe something though, kind of concerning actually.

The way people that are more white than black still get called black or coloured is pretty racist if u think about it because it's basically saying if ur not pure white u can't be called white and u get lumped in the same category as full on blacks

 

For example was President Obama half white half black or something like that? He's both equally but most people don't call him mixed they call him black

White is never the default tho. If someone is just 1/4 black and 3/4 white they are still called coloured even if they are more leaning towards white than black 

 

So ppl got a purity test to call someone white or Caucasian.

 

Black you only have to be a little black to be called black but white you won't get called white if u have even a few mixed features showing

 

That tendency comes from a racist tendency. Were not in 1940s Germany we shouldn't be doing white purity tests
