Killa 17,490
I just love that i can see gaga singing it. But the passion she puts and the linear lyrics just makes it more absurd. Like she almost spits on the microphone and does that mad face like she's about to punch you and actually clenches her hands. ex; if you're a reaaal BBBoy I love her for that but at same time , chill. this would never be a hit. yall are delusional
alsemanche 93,881
It's in my top 5 (replaced Chromatica II/911 ) and I genuinely don't understand the hate it gets. Is it revolutionary? nope. Neither are most of the songs on the album. Is it great for what it is? Hell yes. I would have liked it more if it had a more experimental sound (I still think SOPHIE would have been great on it) but I still love it for what it is. Soft, soothing, and succulent

TropicOfCANCER 6,292
ENOUGH! what is the spell this song has cast in people? It’s basssiiic and was panned in all the reviews. Like, give it up.
BigDreamer 79
The album is full of colorful and playful dramatics and I think Plastic Doll is great lyrically and does what its trying to do so well. I understand it's not everyones cup of tea but I think with the right visuals it would atleast offer some perspective for those who aren't feeling it so well. I envision Gaga in a doll box on a shelf in a "Hollywood Squares-esque" scenario paying homage to some of her most iconic and recognizable looks. f.e. the meat dress, bubble dress, pink cowgirl hat, and new Cromatica looks that fit the aesthetic of the era. As she sings throughout the song she manages to break out of the box and all of the "Gaga Dolls" are hitting some robotic yet danceable choreo. The sheer nostalgia would capture the fans and GP because even if you didnt like or understandher most iconic looks, you're intrigued. Sorry for the long post. It's just something I imagine when I listen to Plastic Doll in particular some times.

Imean Gaga uhlala 🍒 Gaga already looked so good as a cyborg-like being in Bad Romance. Android Gaga for Plastic Doll is what we need. I'm sure very sexy... REALITY 76,776
Plastic Doll, Fun Tonight, and 1000 Doves are the underrated trio, tbh. All are great songs, but it seems like the majority of people dislike them. I don't really see why though...They're all fantastic. Right? the concept is pretty cliche and has been done to death. Gaga couldve really given a fresh spin but she regurgitated the metaphor of women as object/doll in an extremely cliche way. GC1234 657
This song has grown on me so much! Still enjoyed it on first listen, but after the whole album being so strong, it was on the lower tier in comparison! Yet it’s one of the first choruses I start singing to myself. Tbh this whole album has got me confused, coz I have a new favourite every few days lol Get that fire exit door, I’m off...

RenegAde 19,294
I'm just not a big fan of the production. Some parts of the chorus sound empty and seems like gagas vocals is doing all the work

I feel like it's pretty "Gaga" to use a plastic doll as a metaphor...I mean, sure, it's been done before, but it's not out of the ordinary for her. Thematically, this song could fit on ARTPOP, or maybe even TFM—with how that album's all about the "fears" of fame and all.
