This doesn't take the growth of yearly Spotify streams into consideration though, streaming 8 years ago (aka the year the BTW Ball happened) was not the same as it is now. Also Spotify wasn't as established as it is right now, so if you go any further back than 2015-2016, fluctuations and anomalies would increase to the point of them distorting the overall data.

The fact that this Thursday is a Holiday in Poland which means there won’t be weekly album chart update posted but they will post 2-weeks-update next week and Chromatica will probably lose the Top spot to some Polish trash music 

I hate it because It’s the ONLY Thrusday of the whole year where charts aren’t posted.

Ideally, I want to suck in ALL the data they have, normalize it, associate with other data we pull (radio, itunes, apple, amazon, Shazam, etc) and build a very comprehensive analysis of data over time and use that to build accurate predictors and build more tables that supply useful insight into current releases (which @derpmonster is starting to do already).

We probably won't have nearly as much historical data outside of Spotify/iTunes, so a more comprehensive view will take a while to build

Average the deviations within the same year, across the past years. The assumption here is constant users within a year, not over all past years. This is easily corrected anyway.
