If I was being systematically oppressed and the peaceful protests for change hadn’t worked for decades and my people were still getting killed in broad daylight.. BangTheGong 310 Posted June 1, 2020 Share Posted June 1, 2020 I whole heartedly side with black people and support these protests but it definitely has been tough for me to open my mind to the idea that destruction of property doesn't have to be this menacing thing that "destroys the cause". After all, this is just a manifestation of the trauma of the black community. I think I do draw the line at senseless looting and setting fire to small businesses. To me, it's one thing to destroy a target (property of a billion dollar corporation), totally another to destroy family run businesses and looting jewelry stores...
