Alice as lead single

Alice as a lead would've done better than Stupid Love I'm sure, it's just a lot more unique and that chorus is classic Gaga imo

Alice is a great album opener but as the lead it should've used the "oh-ma-ma-ma" hook for a second time and the "take me home" part one time less

I don't understand how no one noticed that Alice has that bittersweet feeling that has kept Blinding Lights, Circles or even Don't Start Now at the top for weeks now.

 

They chose a fun simple song for a lead single. A poor judgement of what is commercial nowadays.

The chorus of Alice has a huge potential. 

 

I think Rain on Me would be a great lead single. Successful, enough to make people talk. And then, come up with Alice as a second single, and I believe it would have exploded. I truly believe Alice would give the kind of impact she had with The Fame, bringing back to the radios this house pop genre.
