She had a platform on stage to discuss this issue in front of millions of people and she chose not to but instead promote her next album. She also could have done exactly that but wore one of her Alexander McQueen dresses instead and her point still would've came across maybe even better if she gave us an intimate speech about it on live TV. She also said she wore it because she didn't want to dissapoint her fans for not performing which is kind of sad... That her fans need a shocking dress of meat to feel like she delivered on being Gaga that night. As if winning all the awards that night wasn't an achievement enough. She just had to be the water cooler topic the next day. And they were all saying how weird and shocking she was rather than the message she was supposedly trying to convey. A message she chose to say after the show and in a magazine interview instead. The meat dress just reeked in desperation to try to pull off the most shocking outfit ever to solidify herself on VH1's most shocking celebrity red carpet moments specials.
