Also, what is it with that obsession about promo singles rn? The album is literally 3 weeks away and y'all can't wait that long after a 4-year-drought (excluding ASIB here as it wasn't a solo album)? Also, Ariana seems pretty excited about it so I wouldn’t think so much about possible backlash. I can see Ariana posting a message about it and how it made her feel creating the song. Yes, it was music made by Gaga ( and other incredibly talented people ), but it wasn't her music, it wasn't from her perspective. So in that sense it really was a drought . Ew, David!
