iCpro 14,846 Posted May 7, 2020 Share Posted May 7, 2020 Bad Romance is 5 minutes long which is perfect because it allows every section of the song time breathe, and it doesn’t feel like it’s rushing to get to the chorus, which is the vibe I get from a lot of shorter songs. Songs like John Wayne, Perfect Illusion, and evening Stupid Love are all amazing but I feel like their short lengths limit their potential and ultimately feel a little underwhelming, or instead they feel like they’re rushing to get all the different parts of the song into a 3 minute package. I feel that Stupid Love (or the first half of PI) move through the song so quickly that each section of the song is over before I can properly appreciate it. for me personally I think 3:30 is a good minimum length, and I love it when Gaga’s not afraid to indulge and give songs the time they deserve. 08, 09, 11, 13, 16, 20 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

If it is the length of the song, then it doesn't really tell us much, it could be 2:01 or 2:59 and we wouldn't know until the album releases... Spoiler And Alice being the 2nd song makes me a bit sceptical, too. Maybe the circles to the left of the names are tribe symbols, or just dots. The picture on the official website isn't HQ enough to tell... And even if the song is short, it doesn't mean it will be disappointing. Eh Eh is rather short but still good, and so are quite a few songs on C2C, and even Doja Cat's Boss Bitch is super short but it still SLAPS! Edit: just discovered the pic on the German website is HQ, and it does look like the 2 is indeed the song length, while the circle is the position of each track on the album... At least wait for us to have the full tracklist to have our meltdowns I do usually prefer a longer song, but my second favorite Gaga song is Perfect Illusion, also 2:57, so I don't care.
