Look, I'm not gonna sit here and be all "high and mighty" and act like I didn't listen to the leaks. We all  listened to the leaks, that said, on principle, leaking her material is wrong. She's literally getting robbed of announcing anything. And for some of y'all to just nonchalantly say, "Well, it's her fault. She should've had more security" is literally like blaming someone who was robbed that they didn't lock their door at night.

Like, it doesn't matter that they their door wasn't locked, breaking in and stealing stuff from their house is still wrong! The same thing here. Admittedly, it's very strange that so much stuff is leaking this era, but that doesn't mean that what people are doing by spreading the leak around is not immoral.

I swear I was about to post this same thought, but I was afraid of getting too much backlash. It's interesting to see people normalizing content theft and/or illegal distribution of said content. I know Interscope is a billionaire record label and Gaga a multimillionaire, so they don't have much to lose, but stealing/intercepting is still illegal. Some could say it could even get unethical if we consider that we're all here because we're interested in her career and we know for sure that leaks bother her (cut to the scene in 5F2 when Joanne leaks in the middle of a fibro crisis), her artistic integrity and her team's marketing schedule. It's never too much to remember that we're still in the middle of a global crisis and she's been putting a lot of effort on getting millions to help people.

Of course, why wouldn't she be? It's her work, ffs. If you worked on an album and someone leaked it, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't like it.

And the worst part is, people are already criticizing the songs and saying the Chromatica era is a flop when the album isn't even out yet 

Not gonna lie, I feel really, really bad for Gaga rn. Maybe even more than during the ARTPOP era. She gives the world so much, and what does she get in return? Critcism and her work being stolen. It's just so f*cked up

Anyways, I truly don't see how Gaga being rich factors into this particular conversation? Sure she is wealthy, but that should not disregard the disdain she has for having people illegally spreading material that has worked very hard on for well over a year and is obviously incredibly passionate about.

There were very little leaks around the original release date, like nothing solid. We didn't even know the name of the album tracks.

Of course a delay is going to cause an increase in leaks.

I was one of the people who wanted the album to leak so bad

1- to spite the people making fun of dua

2- she keeps delaying stuff until they leak, this happened with EVERYTHING related to the era promo except for that magazine photoshoot.

but now that it's actually leaking I feel really bad for her and I won't listen to any leaks

Update: the process of the album was cohesive but also seclusive a lot of the producers worked on the album.  But DID NOT hear the full album.  And a lot of music was made and pieced together for what went accordingly.
