I won't listen to ROM leak, but the fact that many monsters are dragging it, it makes me believe that not only the song is a masterpiece but that it'll smash on charts too!

I won't listen to it either, but didn't a lot of monsters trash SL too? :poot:

I would agree but this thread kinda gets it right, like they're calling it a masterpiece and not being able to hear the full song a 'drugs comedown' on that coronatica thread.

Out of the 2,We'll go the consensus in here I think :billie:

Stare at the Chartster in the mirror they talk to me too. #StreamFunTonight

I loved her HAC side but I also love the dance side of Gaga.

When I heard who she is working with on this album I kinda knew what is coming hence why I detached myself early on from the ASIB expectations trying to not expect something according to her previous work.

I really like the House elements from ROM and I can definitely see the Be Alright vibes here. It will be refreshing to see something like this on the charts next to mumble rap and whisper sounds.

Yes, maybe the chorus is minimalistic in comparison to her previous stuff but I won't nail her down on that because I also enjoyed a lot of other songs from other artists with a minimalistic chorus in the past as well. This Is What You Came For comes to my mind. 7 Rings is another example. Both were catchy and both smashed.

Don't Start Now's chorus is also very minimalistic and monotone

True. Another catchy tune. For me it doesn't necessarily needs to have a huge chorus to like a song but the atmosphere and vibe of the whole song with a sleek production is what is doing it for me.

Another example would be Dua Lipa's Love Again. It doesn't have a bombastic chorus but the instrumental is heaven.... And it is still one of my favorites from Future Nostalgia.

Love the song to death but I have to agree. The pre-chorus is definitely better and deeper and both the chorus and the bridge sound meh at first listen.

But it definitely grows and I don’t notice those things anymore now so I wouldn’t worry about a 13 secs snippet of Rain on Me.

That's why Physical is the best song in FN. The perfect 80s nostalgia:applause:

Physical’s chorus >>>> every chorus on FN. But I guess big choruses aren’t the sh*t to the GP anymore.

Does it matter? Damage is done

Yeah, especially in the US... She did the right thing by releasing BMH as the single there cause I think US radios wouldn’t have touched Physical (as they probably have some issues with SL being “loud” and “noisy”).

EDIT: more like the listeners than the radio programmers themselves
