Maybe you should investigate the lies your shady government has been spreading. Because even before the Covid19 outbreak your country was a mess. Financially wise and far right wise.

LOL it's funny you seem to know my "shady" government better (whose I am against to FYI) than me being thousands of km away

Well, do you know how much money the Dutch, French and Germans spent on Greece, Italy and Spain in the last couple of years?

Dutch government is making money on the loans they gave to Greece. Greece pays ~3% interest rates over those loans.

Excuse you. You do realize that italy wants EU money to inject into their economy - wich they have fffed up for decades? Not raising pension ages etcetcetc. You have clearly no clue what you are talking about.

don’t at me!

Our country is so rich because the people had to to let go of a lot of things during the past crisis. What has Italy done after the financial crisis? Nothing except continuing their lavish lifestyles

All the cuts and tax raises during the last crisis actually made us poorer in the long term. Giving people less money means more unemployment. That's not very smart during a crisis, because more unemployment means even less spending. Consider reading this, by a Dutch economist: https://basjacobs.wordpress.com/2016/09/19/de-rekening-van-rutte/

Haha no. We make smart, financial choices. Why are you guys getting a pension so early? Especially when you are so much in debt. It is only getting worse because people tend to get fewer children.

The pension age in Greece is 67, in Italy it's 67, and in the Netherlands it's 66.

Getting fewer children wouldn't be nearly as bad if educated Greek and Italian young people weren't moving to Germany and the Netherlands in droves because unemployment is so high there.

I would love to know why you think that we are rich because of southern Europe

The Euro currency is weak because of the weaker economies in Italy and Greece. The fact that the Euro is worth less profits the Netherlands more than any other country, because the Netherlands is (relatively speaking) the biggest exporting country in Europe.

So yeah, the Netherlands gains a lot from the weak position of Greece and Italy and the only victims are Greece and Italy themselves. Not solely because of their own doing (Italy made mistakes in the 80s, and Greece in the 00s). But is it really just to keep 'punishing' countries for stuff that happened decades ago? The main reason Italy and Greece have big deficits is because the interest rate on their loans is so high. In fact, if you exclude those interest payments, Greece and Italy are actually much more fiscally responsible than the Netherlands. That's why Eurobonds are a good idea, because it makes Italy and Greece pay interest rates equal to the Dutch. That's the only way they can get out of debt in the long run without damaging their economy further (because again, higher taxes and lower spending = more unemployment, which is not smart when unemployment is already high). And the Netherlands will benefit as well, because we can export more to Italy and Greece.

If you want to know more, ask more, I study economics :sis:

Yes I remember that! At the time, I wasn't completly overboard with the song either yet, but they never give her songs the chance to grow on people. Rtl boulevard still seems to love her tho.

It's 66 years and 4 months to be exact (https://www.rijksoverheid.nl/onderwerpen/pensioen/toekomst-pensioenstelsel/aow-leeftijd-stijgt-minder-snel).

But is that the only thing you have to say? I literally debunked everything anyone said. The cognitive dissonance is real.

Sorry, I am taking care of the elderly in the nursing home. No time to reply as some of them are gasping for air.

Okay without any sarcasm I am truly grateful for your hard work and think you are a hero. I really appreciate that! My brother is a doctor so I know that right now are difficult times. But you responding to me and being present on this thread is not confirming your point here
