Hence my initial reaction, there's nothing more to it than that. Fam, just because the world is in chaos, doesn't mean people need to stop living. Lots of people out here still buying gadgets among basic needs. Businesses still to make money to cover their employees salary, mortgage for their shops, and share holders income. That, or they had to majorly fire people out to keep the budget healthy. Either way it is a lose lose situation. Just remember what Gaga says, everyone facing different struggles during this time. You can't fault any brands who decides to keep businesses going amid these pandemic. Please bcs im considering a new iphone It is basically iPhone 8 body, and display, with iPhone 11's A13 Bionic chip. Which is their latest ones. It is also water resistant, it's IP67-rated like the iPhone XR. Unlike 8 that is not. Their camera also iPhone 8 camera, with updated softwares such as six Portrait Lighting effects and Depth Control in addition to the second-generation Smart HDR. They produce among the best photos using software, even with less hardware, just like Pixel phones. Also, the price premium is for the ecosystem. No other company has that. The new iPhone is targeted at price-sensitive customers, as well as those that want a familiar design - bezels with Touch ID. Not everyone can cope with the transition from Home button to no Home button. Plus some people still want to be able to slide their phones in a jeans pocket or don't want to participate in the whole facial recognition t̶r̶a̶p̶ feature. I, for one, prefer Touch ID over Face ID for 3 reasons. 1. I can unlock my phone without lifting it from the table. 2. I can unlock my phone while bringing it up so that it's already unlocked when it's at my eye level. 3. Apple Pay is much more straightforward - hold it at the terminal with your finger resting on the sensor, instead of verifying your face and placing it at the terminal. With it you will also assured to get latest iOS updates at least for 6-7 years ahead from now. Not even flagship android phones have it that long, they would support it for at 3 years max then forced their costumers to get new devices. And these android elitists had the nerve to call Apple the greedy ones. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ ᶠʳᵒⁿᵗ ᵗᵒʷᵃʳᵈ ᵉⁿᵉᵐʸ (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡

The 5S supported iOS 7 through 12.
BenG 19,908
Those of you complaining about Apple being not innovative are just confirming that Apple's designs can stand the test of time. This significantly lowers the R&D costs. They didn't become the richest company for no apparent reason.

I don't mind pay a bit more for things like that. Even they still releasing security patch for iPhone 5 this year which is 7 years old now. Meanwhile Samsung already forgotten Galaxy S4 existed. Those still come for years even if the latest iOS is no longer supported. If you don't upgrade your phone often, iPhones are really well-priced. ThisGuyTony 35,114
I still have an iPhone 7 so I looked up phones to possibly upgrade at some point since my battery is nearing its end and the last time I did a software update it nearly killed my phone. Its good that this phone isn’t that expensive but I also wanted to go to the iPhone X. But we’ll see what happens this summer.

This. I've had my 6S for 3 years now as I've never seen the need to upgrade, seeing as the phone still works perfectly for me. The only problem is the battery, but when I'm out I always carry a portable charger anyway. However, if I were to upgrade, this would be the phone for me. I'm 18 years old in a sh*tty job, I can't afford a brand new iPhone 11 Pro or whatever it is lmao. They don't even appeal to me that much anyway. tHeRe cAn bE oNe hUnDrEd pEoPlE iN a rOoM
