We're not forcing HausLab to close their business against their will but the government already advised non-existential business to close. The point here is Gaga herself stated that this is the time for us to mainly focus on the disease and paused her music business. Still, she leaves her make up open because it's more existential or something? She's the founder and the face of HausLab so the way her messages contradict each other make some of us questioning the authenticity of her messages.

I guess it's harder to shut down a makeup line than it is to postpone an album (that Interscope had a hand in postponing as well).

I guess Gaga put others in charge of Haus Labs and they're pretty much doing their own thing and there's an obvious lack of communication. There's no way Gaga was happy with them putting out that Haus Lab tweet right after she made that delay announcement.

I don't think she's the only one making the decisons for the business is she? She's not the sole owner. There's Sarah and I don't know who else tbh. But it's also up to them if they want to keep taking orders not just Gaga. For all we know Gaga might have said I'm taking the month off for my birthday you guys can do what you want while I'm gone. We don't really know. We saw a screenshot of the HL team conference call, surely they were discussing whether to continue during the pandemic. I'm assuming they all would have had a say in it. I don't think Gaga would have forced them, especially if the team is a bunch of friends and as laid back as it appears.

My point is we don't know what was discussed or who made the big decisions. Maybe they simply were naive and thought the fans would genuinely be happy with the birthday collection and discount. :laughga:

I agree but even if she has a good reasons in doing so she failed at communicating it out with us that leads to her looks like she's is being pretentious. Big lesson to be learned for her team after this. Their bad communication is not our fault and we have the right to react with it as what it's put out.

I think we have to remember that Haus Labs is a stand-alone project and it's now working on its own legs. Their advertisement is not related to Gaga most of times. Like, she doesn't call the shots to a promo or a post.

WITH THAT BEING SAID, I think their timing is AWFUL :emma: specially the one after Chromatica delay.

I am sure she can at least (since she has some control over her image and her company) to AT LEAST not post this s*hit marketing strategy to empty out their warehouse putting her face on the post, really.
They want o maximise the profit before they will be forced to stop shipping (here in Italy amazon just ships necessary thing, we are talking amazon, the greediest product provider in the world).
The fact that I instantly link her face to the idea that people put their safety at risk for deliver make up it is just

I need to log off, really.

You know, the campaign is still going on today so I'm sure she's kinda happy and ok with what they do :huntyga:

Shrugging What Had Happened Was GIF

Either Gaga doesn't have as much control over Haus Labs as we think or She's scared of it going bankrupt and people losing jobs.

Well lets just wrap it up and say goodbye to being media sweethearts. This will surely get gaga bad press, sooner or later.

They are desperate to sell that remaining stock. Its not smart marketing at all, even worse with the association to bravery kindness and all that junk.

It's just the Haus Labs website that is running the promotion, not Amazon.

Guys let’s be real, this isn’t about what’s right or what’s ethical. The album is delayed so that when it does come out it makes the most IMPACT (money). Haus Labs sells make-up and that’s what they’ll continue to do (to make money).

The two things are mutually exclusive. The only thing they have in common (exc. Gaga) is the fact that they’re here to make money.

There’s no reason for them to halt the sales of HL, unless they were bothered about giving off a good, ‘ethical’ image. IMO they’re not that well known in the make-up world (compared to Benefit, MAC etc.), so there won’t be a fallout because nobody cares enough about HL to pick up on it (besides you guys obviously).

I used amazon as a term of comparison.

If even Amazon prioritise shipping of necessary items for the pandemic and tries to keep their employees safe why cant we just admit they are trying to maximise before they cant sell anymore. Because sooner or later it will be done in the US what was done here in Europe.

Be safe! I've seen some of your posts and I can see you've been really stressed out by the situation. If this cult site is giving you a hard time, consider taking a break :ohno:
