I think the only movie theatres can will weather this storm are VIP ones. The common cinema that packs as many ppl in the room as possible was already dying, and this is one of the final nails in the coffin. Actually the movie/cinema business was doing better than ever before virus so I don’t really understand what you mean by this... For that people got streamingI can just see enough ppl still wanting to do movie dates with a new boyfriend or girlfriend or going as a group hangout etc. So it will be more of an experience thing What I can picture happening over time is a few closures of movie theatres that are in least demand or least competitive Maybe as their demand drops, instead of 1 movie theatre location for every 25,000 people you might ultimately get that cut in half and maybe have only 1 for every 50,000 for example (I don't know the actual numbers btw I made up numbers to make my point) At the very least I think medium and large cities will certainly have enough demand for at least a few locations But I agree with increased competition from streaming they will face some degree of decline. No doubt not every location opened now will still be open in the future... I can also see new built movie theatre locations potentially being made with more smaller rooms and having only 1 or 2 large ones for the highest demand movies.
