Good job, sir. Sweetheart. What we're NOT gonna do is blame Bernie for your eventual failure by nominating a centrist with a ton of baggage. EXACTLY like we warned you would happen in 2016. You wanna repeat the same mistake again? That's on YOU. chaeri pls
SevenWonder 4,747
Guys, there is no path for Bernie. It's over. He just wants to make sure that Joe adopts some more progressive ideas as he goes head to head against Trump. Which I love. The thing is. Joe has a MUCH better chance to defeat Trump than Bernie does. It's not that Joe's more popular that Bernie, it's that Joe's coalition of voters actually vote (African Americans, older voters, suburbanites) while Bernie's coalition (young people) say they're going to vote, but then never do. This has been true since the beginning of time in the US.

The "good ol days" before Trump are just the days that led to Trump. Biden doesn't have a plan. He doesn't have a vision for the future, just for the comfort of the past. Moderates are not making up "every democrat" or close. The party's way more diverse than that. 12 hours ago, En_Sabah_Nur said: sound like you low-key like Trump! Saying disagreeing with moderates make you sound like Trump is absurd. You can disagree with both for different reasons so making it's black and white with folks having to either be fine with one or else they're loving the other is just false and makes no sense. 12 hours ago, En_Sabah_Nur said: Maybe Bernie should just run as a Republican next time instead. Then I am sure you guys will be happy then... 👌 People who are more on the left wanting their candidate to run as a republican next time? It makes zero sense. The most republican-like base among dems would be the ones backing a center left program, not sanders base.

I don’t know about the outside world, but most of the Bernie supporters on here act like they would, or at the very least are alluding to possibly voting for him. Really you saw most bernie supporters here acting like if they would vote republicans if Sanders wasn't the nominee? The lie is so huge you can't even believe it yourself lol! Just an other baseless smear. 7 hours ago, En_Sabah_Nur said: Or just secretly hoping he wins anyway And a trial of intent for the road lmao... Yes folks act if democrat voters were pretty much all of the ones giving the victory to a dem but all the independants who didn't vote in the dem primary but will for the presidential will be a huge factor too. That was Sanders long term weapon if he won the primary. Let's see how it goes... I hope sanders staying will convince Biden to adopt M4A or at least a public option solution that's somewhere in the middle of both position on healthcare. You know something that would make plenty of independents, folks who usually don't care cause they trust no politician and young dem voters go vote. Are you replying to the wrong person..? What you're saying is of course valid but I don't see how it's a reply to my post. I was replying to someone claiming that Bernie staying in the race now is what will make Biden lose the general. The "good ol days" before Trump are just the days that led to Trump. Biden doesn't have a plan. He doesn't have a vision for the future, just for the comfort of the past. Well if you saw it on Reddit it must be true!! I'm older than most of you on here. My first election was 2000. Everyone young was going to vote for Ralph Nader, the Bernie of that time. Guess what? Most young people went to Nader's rallies.I sure did. Swore up and down they'd vote for him. Then no one came out and voted. Well, enough did to screw over Gore. I learned a hard lesson from that. I'm not here saying I don't like Bernie, I do. I'm being realistic. Young people America just don't vote, on average, the way older voters. It's just a fundamental truth. That has been painfully obvious in the primaries. Joe is wiping the floor with Bernie. The only one to blame is Bernie supporters. They just haven't shown up. OR maybe more people just feel more comfortable with Joe. That will happen, you young people will come to learn, over and over. You won't always get the candidate you want every time. The mature thing to do is vote for the next best based on the intangibles: Which of the remaining candidate will be best for the Supreme Court? Down ballot candidates? Help win the Senate and House? It's selfish and immature to pout when you don't get your way. At least that's what I've come to learn. Also, I'm not saying Joe won't need independent voters. I hope independents choose Joe over staying at home or voting for Trump. But that's out of my control .
