Let me share my personal story; maybe it will help you understand and be more empathetic to people in the sex work industry:

When I was going to start my senior year at college, my financial aid fell apart unexpectedly, and I lost my apartment and had to live out of my car because I was unable to get a job and save up money fast enough to pay my rent out of my own pocket.  Then after I lost my apartment, I was unable to get a traditional job, as very few companies want to hire someone without a permanent residence.  So had I gone into sex work, specifically cam work like the people who produce on OnlyFans, whether or not I was able to monetize my content would have been the difference between living out of my car and begging for food and actually being able to afford a place to live, or waking up in the morning and knowing I would actually be able to eat that day.  So it's very important for the people whose livelihoods depend on being able to sell their content.  I don't know any other way to explain it that might help you understand why it can be so devastating for people.

But that's the whole point; it's not about me.  It's about the people who have actually gone into sex work and how this could damage their livelihoods.  Do you not consider sex workers to be people who need to eat, drink, and have shelter?  Or do you consider them subhuman because of their type of job?

Look, we all work at different types of jobs, using different parts of our bodies, whether it's our brains to analyze data, our arms to lift boxes, our vocal chords to be a musician, or our entire bodies like cam workers do.  The idea that sex workers are inferior because of their type of job is largely simply because the Abrahamic religions look down on sex outside of relationships.  In a secular society, any kind of work that doesn't harm people shouldn't be looked down upon.

Anyway, I'm starting to get into the more esoteric background info about the demonization of sex work, so I'll stop now, as there's no indication so far that you've thought in depth about the points I've made, but just... please try to be kind to people and think about how you can help them achieve a joyful life.  We're both fans of an amazing woman who preaches kindness, and I imagine she'd want to see sex workers living joyful, healthy lives, without the worry of losing revenue or their entire job.

Im not disregarding the illegality and the violation, or downplaying it, but as someone who "worked" in chaturbate for a while, I have to be realistic and be aware thats its a risky business. The thing is, while sex work might not be a basket that you "should" put all your eggs in, some people in crisis periods of their lives don't have a choice, and this can still hurt them.  The fact that it's a risky type of work doesn't mean that these people should be protected any less, so to see people laugh at and make jokes about what can be very damaging for people, just hurts the part of my soul that cares about people.     

What I was trying to say is, if you want access to all the model's previous content, you have to be a continual subscriber to view it, right?  There's no "download this content" option available for subscribers, as far as I know.  So say you were a casual subscriber who liked the model's work but would rather have it for free and didn't care so much about getting new content as long as you had some of your favorite past videos of theirs accessible to you.  If you came across the leak, you could unsubscribe from the model, find the leak and download a collection of their work, and no longer be giving the model revenue.  So the model would only be left with those subscribers who wanted to see any future content, which I imagine is a good chunk of the subscribers, but they would lose all those subscribers who are happy with just having a collection of illegal downloads of past content to browse through.  Do you get what I mean?

I agree with you on the last point, though I do not have a very high opinion of straight men overall, so I'm not surprised that women are being subjected to this kind of mass violation.  I just wish that the world wasn't so cruel.  Well, I don't wish it, I work towards it, but I wish it would happen faster.

Well I looked it up since Ive never used Onlyfans, content is protected under copyright law and it belongs to the model, and the site doesnt give you tools to download it, but theres nothing that can be done to stop you from taking screenshots/record your screen, and as long as you dont post it somewhere else the youre fine downloading it like that. 

So current subscribers, if they want to, they could easily have all that counted downloaded already. I genuinly dont think this leak will take current subs away, at worst it would stop you from getting curious eyes subbing for 1 month.

And dont worry, I totally understand you worrying about them, but calm down, for the vast majority of models there, it is just a side job for a quick buck, most of them post a picture every few days, promote it for a bit on instagram and twitter, and thats all they need. Its not a 40 hour a week job, noone can make that much p0rn lol.

Gotcha.  I imagine the hit in revenue from the one-time subscribers wouldn’t be as bad, though it is still definitely a monetary loss.

And yeah, I know that the majority of people in online sex work don’t do it as their primary job; it’s just that sex workers are a very vulnerable population, and I know what it’s like to be that vulnerable.  And I’m a papa bear who wants to protect everybody.
