It’ll create more hype for the album. Tease the video for weeks like an event like artists used to do back in the day and release it end of April. At that point we’d hopefully only be 1-2 months away from the actual album release. Ariana is massive.. the song and video will do strong numbers despite no live performances being possible. I think it’s for the best - now they have breathing room to re-strategise and plan what they can reasonably do in this new environment. They clearly know that the virus isn’t going anywhere, so I really believe they’re not delaying it for long, but just enough time to get themselves in order. However, if she releases it and does not carry out the supposedly planned promo, then I’ll be upset because the wait would’ve been for nothing! If the album is "very much on the way" like she said then she won't be able to carry out all the promo because it seems like Corona plans to stay with us for a long time.
