So I can live with SL being the lead. At least we don’t have to spell team without me and or jam to hey little monster spelling is fun. Beyonce's "Formation" was the strongest lead you've ever seen? it peaked at #10. I know some stronger leads...how about these lil iconic numbers called, Just Dance, Bad Romance, or Born This Way. And holy crap....We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together was Taylor Swift's first #1, and Shake It Off is arguably her biggest hit of her career. Lol. Other lead singles that were massive recently: Work by Rihanna Hello by Adele Bodak Yellow by Cardi B Too Good At Goodbyes by Post Malone Sucker by Jonas Brothers Old Town Road by Lil Nas X (longest #1 of All Time)

(And kinda embrace same situation for our little baby SL). So I literally couldn’t care less about chart or criticism from judgmental gays. Let’s Gag do the sh!t she wants to lmao. If f slurs want to support or not, it’s their choice hihi. Okay fine if you dont care about the charts. But the only way I want her to lose on the charts is because she genuinely took an artistic/sound risk (ala PI). I do not want her to lose on the charts because she took no risk with a blah pop song and come off like she is trying to get a hit and can't (Stupid Love). That will wreck the era and no one will give two shots about the album after that. Look what happened to Kesha....High Road has some great tracks that will never get play because she chose a re-up of her 2012 sound as the lead. There is a way for Gaga to do something very her but still new. And Stupid Love ain't it.
HoneyB 27,926
The song is meh It’s a solid 6/10 for me I don’t care if it’s the lead. I’m more excited about the music video. I’m just looking forward to the prospect of a new era and album 💋 𝕊𝕥𝕖𝕡 𝕐𝕒 ℂ𝕠𝕠𝕜𝕚𝕖𝕤 𝕌𝕡💋🍪

Literally the best song coming out of 2016, an anthem to celebrate black culture in a political crisis of America. Beyoncé‘s formation was a significant moment of 2010s, literally everyone who belongs to marginalized group was empowered by that song. And by strongest, I mean the significance the song holds. SIO and WANGBT were one of the weakest songs of Taylor in term of showing her brilliant writing ability. Please ignore the spelling in username. I am a Beyonce stan afterall. Phlop 4,773
I think the moment has passed. I only heard it a few times before the links were taken down, but I’m already over the discussions. I think the lead should feel 100% fresh. I think not releasing it on Jan 24 was a mistake tbh. Either way, I’ll still bop to it if it’s actually released. And you will be entitled to the idea that SL is bad and will flop no matter what I said. But Gaga is a 30 years old grown woman and she knows what she is doing. I respect her direction, and really I don’t really care she flops or not. I enjoy seeing her making music, it’s no fun for me for complaining over st I cannot control hihi. And wish you a good day. illySpencer 1,434
I vote no cause I don't think the leak would be a good proper lead. But if she reworked the song with new lyrics and new music, why not.

SIO and WANGBT were one of the weakest songs of Taylor in term of showing her brilliant writing ability. I feel like Born This Way and Old Town Road have more impact than Formation. It wasnt that big of a hit. There have been bigger hits celebrating black culture. Born This Way was a cultural event and is not only arguably the biggest LGBTQ anthem ever...it performed at #1 for six weeks and started a movement, a beacon cry for a disenfranchised community, and eventually a foundation. It's become a term people often use and associate with the LGBTQ community. Cardi just was referencing it the other day in a viral video supporting Gabrielle Union's trans child. And not to forget it was the first song ever charting on the Hot 100 periodt, that mentioned transgender people in it. Then the fact Lil Nas X combined a primarily black genre with a primarily white genre into the most successful chart topper of all time as his lead, and then remarkably outing himself during its success making him the first out gay man to have a #1...pretty big cultural event. I hate it when people overhype Beyonce when she reuses stuff Janet Jackson, Missy Elliot, Erika Badu, Lauryn Hill, Tina Turner, Tupac already did, but artists like Gaga actually break a barrier and people on her own fansite dismiss her and praise Bey for a song that fell off the charts in a couple weeks. I appreciate Formation but it doesn't have the impact people claim it does. I dont hear black people still screaming "get in formation"! But every Pride I still hear gays screaming and chanting Born This Way...and it's an older song.

Beyoncé is inspired not copy lol. Like Gaga was inspired by Madonna, Boy George and David. Did you see your own bias here that you didn’t mention that people use argument with Gaga and Madonna. And Madonna actually accused Gaga to plagiarize her with BTW. I mean it’s because you don’t like Beyoncé, so you are being unfair with your judgment here. I never see OTR as an impactful track. But I kinda agree with you with BTW. For me, the difference between Formation, BTW and OTR that formation and born this way were mentioned everywhere as a new voice of our generation for something is really significant . Of course there were precedents, Madonna stans are typing somewhere that she is the pioneer in empowering LGBTQ with vogue now. But Gaga and Beyoncé stand out in our generation as the new leaders in using their art to transform their beliefs. https://www.cnn.com/2016/02/23/entertainment/beyonce-controversy-feat/index.html Please ignore the spelling in username.
