The theme (as well as her voice) is similar to Heal Me/The Cure. 5. The chorus feels incomplete. 6. Glamourpuss 29,062 Posted February 21, 2020 Share Posted February 21, 2020 For me on first listen I thought it was like bad romance because of how she pronounces some words and says the "all I ever wanted was love" line and the feel of the song reminded me of perfect Illusion so I described it as a mix of that. But since reading about the fortnite theories and seeing that pic which was allegedly from the MV it now makes me think it's a kids song because it seems a bit too juvenile for Gaga. That said, I'd definitely describe it as an upbeat dance pop song. There are certainly elements of BloodPop and Boys Noize in terms of the production, but I wouldn't say that it's as overbearing as maybe some of their other songs. It's catchy, and it also has some 80s influences too! For some reason, the "All I ever wanted was love" line always reminds me of Wonder Woman 1984. Don't get me wrong, I love that song, but it wasn't single material. This does sound like single material to me.
