He is scared of being passionate and aggressive because the media calls him a grumpy old white man. If Bernie fights back and differentiate himself from other candidates, im sure his support would double. Bernie has been fighting back. That's literally his shtick. He says what he believes and doesn't tolerate any **** from anyone. That's actually why so many people love him. 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔬𝔫𝔰𝔱𝔢𝔯 𝔱𝔬𝔯𝔢 𝔞𝔴𝔞𝔶 𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔪𝔞𝔰𝔨 𝔞𝔫𝔡...𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔣𝔞𝔠𝔢 𝔴𝔞𝔰 𝔪𝔦𝔫𝔢. The fact that you're using the word "passionate" to describe people who are willing to harass bully and attack (BERNIE'S WORDS NOT MINE) is......... indicative of your position. Obviously unification goes both ways but Bernie's supporters are the ones making this primary ugly, and the uglier it gets, the harder it will be to unify behind any nominee. No one condones bullying. Don't spin my words into "Oh, you support it when others threaten, harass, and mock people?!". That said, this narrative that all Bernie supporters are "Bernie bros" who viciously attack other people is ridiculous. If you say that calling out the mainstream media for the clear bias is "threatening" or "harassing", then that is.........indicative of your position. When you have people on news outlets and shows like The View literally support every other candidate besides Bernie Sanders, it's infuriating. What's worse is that Bernie is so obviously fighting for the working class, minorities, etc. that when the media turns on that and says, "Oh, he and his supporters are just crazy and radical", that's ludicrous. Listen every politician has some degree of toxicity. Twitter and the Internet is just like that Bernie himself obviously doesn't stand for that and I'm not blaming him But his fan base does seem to have a higher percentage of people be very extra and agressive than most candidates I cannot speak for the user you were quoting but on my end it's definitely WAY more than 1 instance

Emvee 8,829
The culinary union bosses are intentionally misinforming their members by telling them they will lose their healthcare so they shouldn’t vote for Bernie AND NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO FIGHT BACK TO THAT? M4A makes it so that unions no longer have to spend their resources on negotiating for healthcare. This is a smear and the union bosses have used the “Bernie Bro” story to take attention away from the fact that their argument is bullshit. Bernie supporters are not attacking the union. They are attacking the smear that they put out.

Petie Estie 5,705
1 hour ago, RAMROD said: Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Thursday encouraged supporters of all campaigns to refrain from online attacks following the Nevada Culinary Workers Union's allegations of online harassment from Sanders supporters over its disagreement with his health care plan. “Harassment of all forms is unacceptable to me, and we urge supporters of all campaigns not to engage in bullying or ugly personal attacks,” Sanders, a front-runner in the Democratic primary race, said. “Our campaign is building a multi-generational, multi-racial movement of love, compassion, and justice. We can certainly disagree on issues, but we must do it in a respectful manner.” Sources: https://www.cnbc.com/2020/02/13/nevada-culinary-union-will-not-endorse-in-2020-democratic-primary.html https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/sanders-seeks-smooth-nevada-union-tensions-rivals-pounce-n1136451 https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/483052-sanders-addresses-allegations-of-harassment-from-culinary-union BernieBros, y'all hear that? Your dad is talking U. What you added on the end was unnecessary. I'm glad he said something, even though he was distancing him and his supporters specifically from this as much as possible with that language about ALL campaigns. Okay. Better than nothing. It does strike me that he only did this when an influential union called it out. I don't think the Bernie bro is a thing. I don't think it has anything to do with gender or age or anything. I just think Sanders attracts people that are angry and especially hurt or vulnerable. He makes them feel like he's the only answer by essentially saying every other politician is a corrupt hack that is secretly against their human rights & will never fight to improve their lives. He's right, but only to a point. It's not the end of the world if a "corporate Dem" wins the presidency. We'll be okay. Things will even get better. It just won't be as great as Bernie or Warren would be. That's it. So stop treating people like they are personally attacking you by supporting another candidate. You'll be okay. Emvee 8,829
I repeat: Bernie supporters are not attacking the union. They are attacking the SMEAR. The leader of the culinary union is a member of the center for American progress, a neoliberal organization. It does not take a rocket scientist to make that connection.
