Or maybe he just liked to reap the benefits of being a pseudo Democrat and didn't have the courage to start his own party 40 years ago.

Or maybe as Jill Stein has shown with her lawsuit that ballots for third party were destroyed by both the democratic and republican parties. Maybe because the two party duopoly have a mutual interest in the you win/I win catch 22. Maybe because third parties have to get a certain %age in a general elction before getting to participate in presidential debates. Maybe because the system is designed to prevent 3rd parties from making it through.

A "revolution" should easily be worth that.

Actually we have a multi-party system. There's Libertarian, Green, etc, etc. Ross Perot ran an effective 3rd party candidacy. Perhaps he just doesn't want to put the work in on his revolution.

If Bernie were to run third party, both the Democratic Party and Bernie would have no chance of defeating Trump in 2020. Bernie cares too much about this country to allow that.

Plus, most polls show that Democrats largely agree with Bernie on his policies. Sadly, many people question his electability and casual Dems fall victim to corporate media lies

(Ever wonder why CNN and MSNBC spew propaganda about how universal health care would cost an astronomical amount, when in fact it would cost trillions LESS than our current system? And have you ever wondered why they have never mentioned that we are the only developed country without it? And how none of those countries ever consider going back... maybe because... uh... it works?)

lmao y'all really out there thinking that a field organizer is going to rig the Nevada caucus

"Voter Protection Organizer" is a lil more than just a field organizer, sweetie.

And they literally rigged Iowa 5 days ago, so...

The point is the entire system is designed to that a third party will never make it. The “revolution” is to reform the Democratic Party. The party as it exists is not the same party of FDR. We are fighting to change that party because the capitulation to billionaires and corporations is destroying this country.

Then why do you want him to be head of a corrupt Democratic Party so bad ?

The nominee actually does get to have control over the DNC to an extent once they win. Bernie could clean house.

This is a group of people who overwhelmingly said NO to a proposal that suggested that the people in charge of the DNC's budget should be elected officials. They are currently people who are appointed and who severely mismanage their budget. Even chief executive officers admitted to not knowing how financially screwed the DNC was in 2016 because its all so secretive and there is no oversight.

They also said NO to a proposal that the only people who get a Vote should be people who don't have outstanding conflicts of interest. There are people who get funded by REPUBLICANS, anti-choice thinktanks, pro-war lobbyists, etc. who are voting members of the DNC :rip: That's obviously ****ed.

So yes, he should clean house :poot:

Conflict of interests make everyone involved look bad. They persist even where no evidence of impropriety exists.

Bernie was unaware of his ability to ignite such a massive movement until 2015. He wasn't even planning on running that election. He fought for Liz to run... and when she didn't, he chose to step in. And seriously... what benefits? The Dem establishment have offered him anything but benefits. The majority of Americans don't care about an establishment party, they care about someone who authentically represents their values. Party loyaltists are actually a minority in this country.

Wtf is a voter protection organizer?

She was a field organizer for Buttigieg (the most junior position on a campaign) and is now doing VotePro for NVDems.

The onus of avoiding conflicts is on NVDems, not the pete campaign

Lol y'all are so messy. This girl is going to Nevada to do VotePro for the GENERAL... has nothing to even do with the caucus. People need to stop looking for reasons to be outraged.

She better rig the general for the Democratic nominee Bernie Sanders!

You should read the link in the OP before coming to conclusions.

It's about the Nevada Caucus.

I'll quote a bit for you:

"Asked by a volunteer how results would be transmitted from one place to another, the staffer demurred.

“Those are all excellent questions, and we’re still working out some of the details around those so I’ll make sure that everyone has more information as we’re able to share it,” she said.

In interviews, volunteers said they received little information at the training beyond a rough outline of how the tool is supposed to function. They also were unsure how the party plans to carry out its four-day early voting period, which previously relied on the use of an app to capture people’s preferences. CBS News first reported the existence of an unspecified “tool” on Friday.

Seth Morrison, who will be the site lead at Legacy High School on Caucus Day, said he “debated long and hard” whether to express his concerns about the caucus process.

“For me, I volunteered to do this because I’m a loyal Democrat, and there’s nothing more I want to do than defeat Donald Trump,” Morrison said. “But if we allow this to go down and it’s another Iowa, what does this do for my party?”

Morrison said that there was “not a bit of proof” at the training that Nevada wouldn’t be another Iowa.

Another volunteer, who asked for anonymity to speak openly about the training process, said the general sentiment in the room at the training was frustration and confusion.

Doesn't look good to say the least. But I mean, I said the same thing on here before Iowa and got the same "lol conspiracy theorist" response, so I guess we'll see how it plays out! :huntyga:

BARCODE

Wouldn't it be crazy if Buttigieg won Iowa, then NH (he's in tying with Bernie in alot of polls), THEN NEVADA. Lol.

I dont care what anyone says, Buttigieg is becoming a really viable candidate.

If Pete can rig the primary, he can rig the election and beat Trump! Think about that! :lana:
