Cardi and Lizzo has both shown immense love towards Gaga and its obvious Gaga would say something in return Just like Nicki Minaj said, they never crossed paths. They do unrelated things. They run in different circles, belong to different labels, rarely attend the same events, etc. Also, Cardi has repeatedly said kind things about Gaga and is often at the same events, so it makes sense they would pose together, and was being attacked online over her Grammy win...so Gaga speaking up in defense of her made some sense. Gaga also rarely speaks up about celebrities, or at least her contemporaries, for the most part. It's possible Gaga knows Nicki is always in some beef, so she just wants to avoid the drama....but I think it's more likely they just don't cross paths/know each other well and so there is not really a point in publicly acknowledging one another. As far as the few times Nicki has acknowledged Gaga; Gaga doesn't like being compared to Madonna so getting annoyed at Nicki being mildly irked by the Gaga comparisons is silly. Plus, Nicki is to Lil Kim as Gaga is to Madonna. Nicki never criticized Gaga, just said she didn't like the comparisons, and people also ignore the racial dynamic that white artists often rip off black artists...so it has to be annoying to believe you are falsely being accused, if you are a Black artists, of ripping off a white artist. The R. Kelly thing was dumb asf and she shouldn't have singled Gaga out by name, but again she was trying to point out white privilege...although in that case it would have been better pointing off the misogyny as men (white and Black) got way more of a pass for working with R. Kelly. And I remember that drama, because Nicki deleted the tweet and ended up liking some tweets about how it wasn't meant to be shade towards Gaga and how Gaga was talented, etc. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
