HorusRa2 5,005
I've been looking for a comparison concerning the young vote because there was a post in the thread that suggested that the youth vote did not turn out; I had seen a graphic previously showing the opposite but couldn't find it when the post was made. It appears that comment was not correct. It appears that ACTUALLY the youth turnout relative to total electorate of the caucus was actually higher than it was in 2008. Another remark. The under 45 vote was 45% and the over 45 was 55%. 2016: Under 45 was 37% and the over 45 was 63% 2008: Under 45 was 40% and the over 45 was 60%. So 45/55 split does not seem good but relative to the previous caucuses it shows more and more young people are becoming politically active. This is a GREAT thing for Bernie moving forward. HorusRa2 5,005
The fact that even Nate Silver is suggesting that the framing by the media is not quite even-handed in how it is framing the results is very telling. Nate is very anti-Bernie and even he can acknowledge this. Others whom I argue with in almost every thread regarding politics do not seem willing to accept that. Othon 34,299
At this point, I'm fully convinced the DNC has withheld the results for two days on purpose, especially considering that numerous precinct captains have publicly said that they submitted their votes days ago and have no idea why they haven't been released. Even if Sanders does end up winning, liberals are going to be too busy posting variations of this nonsense to even notice:

If you're running for President and are against policies that would help Americans out, and are literally the status quo along with Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden, there's a cozy spot in hell waiting. Sam Smith can deal.

Just because that's the rule doesn't change the fact that the way the results are being framed is disingenuous. The fact you are rationalizing the fact Bernie won precincts by over 15% by popular vote and still got the same # of delegates as Pete, "because its the rules," and trying to say he's the best person to beat Trump is ludicrous. Those are the rules by which the Iowa Caucuses have always declared the victor. Sorry that you don't just get to change them now. Bernie could've campaigned in rural Iowa like Pete did, but Bernie did not do that. Pete was endorsed by literally every single black mayor in the state of Iowa. POC do not know who Pete is yet, but when they do, they will like his message. Lastly, the two most recent national polls show Bernie with the worst odds against trump and Pete having the best. That's all folks! Thanks for playing! But Pete won Iowa
